Works perfect for an auto launch anchor holder. I used this in conjunction with an Anchor Winch. Keeps anchor from slapping the side of the boat.

just what I wanted

I've used these for years now and couldn't be without one now. Nice not having anchor rope all over the boat floor to trip on or tangling with my fishing line. It Handles anchor fine as long as you don't exceed weight limit. The few things that need improving is the build material and release lever. Metal used should be stronger and better quality. This is my third bow anchor holder, they just don't last as long as they should. Another problem is the winch release lever. Its can be awkward to twist and sits loose which rattles and can make some pretty annoying sounds. Lever should be redesigned to some kind of handle for better leverage when releasing anchor.

This system is easy to install and works like its supposed to. If you do a lot of fishing by yourself its worth the money to invest in. I installed one on the front and rear of my boat and placed the cranks with in easy reach of my seat. No more moving around to pull up the anchors.

This was a gift to someone else and they just opened it and found that there was no reel included. The picture shows most certainly there is a reel. It has been over 30 days since it was a gift and now I am being told I can not return the item. This is ridiculous.

The picture of the item ordered included the rope, rope holder with crank. It came with only the anchor holder bracket. Very disappointed with the MISREPRESENTATION of this item.

My dad has one twenty years ago when I was a kid and I always thought it was great but could never find one around here till I looked on Amazon it works great
