Can’t say enough about this kit. Bought it for my wife. My 24 volt kit is too big and clunky for her not to mention it’s where I’ve left it. She keeps this where she knows it is. I know where it is too and use it a lot! Probably not going to use it for running hole saws or mixing mortar, but for drilling and fastening it’s fantastic. Light weight, stands well on the battery and surprisingly powerful. I hadn’t really used an impact before. It gives the small driver Surprising power. Love it! Basic drill bit, driver kit bought separately fits nicely in the Makita bag. Everything feels quality. If you’re looking for a light weight drill/driver combo this is it!!

I don't review my purchases that often. I'm much better with tools than words.I bought this combo set in January (01-17- 20) and it was $102.99 back then, just $3 more than the 1.5Ah kit with a tool bag (not a hard case) that I was researching.Because this tool kit exceeded my expectations, I am compelled to review it.The drill is way more powerful than I've expected out of 12 volts. I did not touch my corded 1/2" drive B&D and its extension cord since the purchase.FYI, I'm not a carpenter I'm just a DIY handyman and I have nothing to do with or gain from Makita or any other manufacturer.Pros:1-Super lightweight for reaching above your head and suitable to get into tight spaces with plenty of power.2-Just tap the trigger and LED light will illuminate so you can place your bit precisely where it needs to be when lighting is inadequate.3-Makitas established reputation gives me confidence that these tools will last/work properly for a long time.5-Battery life indicator lights are a must on any battery. Before starting a project, I can guesstimate if I can finish the task without recharging.6- I can switch one battery between the tools while charging the other. Now I can get other CXT (bare tool).7-Recharge, with one light on the battery, takes little less than one hour, thats more than satisfactory for my use. I'm trying to time it precisely but the distractions seem to always prevail.8-The hard tool case is a sweet bonus. It keeps the tools and charger all together with a little pouch for the instructions manual and other papers/notes. There are three holes, molded in, for hex bits. (two double ended PH#2 were included. I don't know why one hole was empty)Cons:If and when I find one, I will update this review.

Note that it’s listed as coming with one battery but it actually comes with TWO batteries. 😊As for the equipment? Makita is all about the quality and this is no different. These may be “only” 12v but they have more than enough torque for even the toughest jobs. I was drilling 1/4” holes along a length of steel pipe and this handled it while saying, “eh.. is that all you got??” 😉😁😁I highly recommend this set. It’s an excellent value.Excellent service from my non-Amazon seller/shipper; Toolup in NV. Retail box was taped up with a shipping label used ON that retail box, but I don’t have an issue with that at all. Some may I suppose.The drill set is brand new and works perfectly. Thanks!

My wife is a realtor and has been doing some minor repairs(handrails and misc) I gave her one of my retired drill sets which was just not cutting it. So I bought her this set for Christmas. She really likes the weight and size. Said it’s easy to use. If Mommas happy so am I. Would tell everyone to get one.

I’ve had this drill set for about 2 months now. I haven’t needed the impact drill so I can’t review that. The regular is nice. No chock needed-twist to open or close. It’s strong. I’ve gone through wood and sheet metal with no problem. Adjustable power selection. The battery pack is so easy to remove. It slides off. It slides onto the charger too. The charger is compact but charges quickly. I had a full charge in about 45 min.I’d recommend this drill.As for the bag that comes with it? Meh. 2 outside pockets that nothing fits in and no pockets or dividers inside. Everything just goes in one on top of each other with no protection. Don’t waste your money on that.

I have a wheelbarrow full of 18V tools but I needed a light pair for lighter and occasional duty at work. These are so comfortable in the hand and light as a feather but I used them to drill, tap, and bolt 1/4” fasteners in 1/4” plate steel right out of the box. You can only do that 3 or 4 times with these batteries but there was no lack of power to perform the task. These are PERFECT for my intended use and I have my 18V stuff to back them up.Key: light and occasional use. … and worth mentioning that they might lay idle for weeks and still have a full charge when needed.

These batteries hold the charge and keep the drill from losing its strength. Lightweight and nice carry bag to keep everything together.

el único pero que pongo es que el producto llego mal embalado, abierto, y no con la mejor presentación, pero bueno, lo importante es que el equipo es funcional, cumple con el cometido para el cual fue adquirido y llego cada cosa en perfecto estado tal como vienen en la descripción del producto, solo doy 4 estrellas ya que llego abierto.por lo demas todo ok, saludos.
