Tough product
I like the Crescent Brand so that’s why I went with it. Can’t write much on it have not used it but once, but the double action does improve its powerful cutting ability. So far pleased

An overkill but I like it!
I used the bolt cutter to cut up a box spring. Cutting 1/8 inch wires was effortless. Cutting 1/4 inch wires required some effort; I braced one arm of the bolt cutter on the floor and leaned on the other arm. There was a loud bang when the wire broke. I am glad I chose the 24 inch model and not the shorter ones. I do not mind the weight. When I finished there was no nick on the blade. The arms were hard to open and close at first but loosened up after twenty strokes or so.

Cut through steel like butter, but heavy...
These bad boys weigh a lot. Might not be 15+ kilos but it sure feels like it when you're using them. If you're buying them for an older person you might want to consider another brand or size. That being said, they'll cut right through an old lock or chain link fencing and it's not like you're going to be using them hours on end. Durable, well built and good value for money.

Cut through 3/8 quick links with reasonable effort
Cut though 316 stainless steel 3/8 quick links at 95 Rockwell hardness with reasonable effort and a LOUD SNAP. Glad I got the 24 inch. Well made. Will last a long time.
