I needed to make jumpers for an old golf cart that I had obtained. I bought the wire and lugs, and then realized I did not have crimpers that were large enough. When I found these online, I really did not think they would work because of the low price point. I was very wrong. These things work great for crimping battery cables. I really liked how you can change the crimp sizing too depending on the size of wire that you are using. These are an awesome tool that I am extremely pleased with purchasing!

The crimper seems well made. It is disappointing that such cheap paint is coming off right out of the box. Now I’m going to have to remove the rest of the paint to keep it from coming off and making a mess.The cutter has non-slip rubber over the original paint which has a nice feel.

Solid cutting and crimping tools for working with 2/0 heavy wiring. I wish the handles on the cutters were longer as it takes a bit of leverage to cut the 2/0 wire, but works fine. The crimper is solid and does a good job. All work as intended

Let me start by saying I have used really high end crimping tools and this one is not going to compare to them. To be fair though, it cost about a third as much as they do. So for the money, this is probably the best kit you can buy. The wire cutters work fantastic cutting thru even heavy 2/0 wire with ease. The crimper itself is sturdy. The adjustable dies seem very well cut and when locked in place, are sturdy. The only downside is the crimper will leave a small raised nub of copper when you crimp. The solution is to just rotate the wire connector and crimp again. That will lessen the nub of extruded copper so it is no concern. Yes, it requires pulling the handle twice instead of once but to save so much money, it is worth it. I've been building a solar setup and used the crimper and cutters many times. Every crimp came out sturdy and looking good. Long as you rotate it and do a second crimp, all is well. Even without the second crimp, it is sturdy and works fine. It just leaves a small nub of raised copper. Not a serious problem and wires still work fine but I didn't like the raised nub so do a second crimp. Of the budget priced crimp tools, this is the one I would recommend to anyone. Nice setup and works well.

Ordered this based on many positive reviews. Used it yesterday on 2 gauge copper wire for car audio amplifier system. Adjusting to the proper gauge was lickity split and easy, requires some strength to crimp. Some people wrote reviews about post crimp leaving a sharp edge on the copper fastener, this did happen to me one time, but I realized it was how I placed the tool around the fastener. Paying attention to this will ensure a proper crimp without the sharp protruding Edge. So to dock this tool for that seems erroneous because it's user error in my opinion and experience with this very tool. Wire cutters or cable Cutters worked very well. Cut through the 2 gauge cable almost like...semi frozen butter, to be more realistic. Pleasantly surprised how good they worked, honestly.
