These fenders attach only at the fork, plus the back one clamps (relatively loosely) around the frame bar. I've used this type of fender on my MTB and trail bikes forever, and I prefer them over the more securely mounted, more close fitting fenders that have 1 or 2 u-stays that keep the fender "in place" (and those other fenders, while they will last forever, are also way more expensive).These Sodapop fenders are of great quality, they look fantastic, and the coverage is good. The downside of these fenders is that the clamp around the frame bar will eventually break so you'll likely need to replace the fenders every few years. But at the low cost that seems reasonable.That said, the bolt for the front fork attachment is an M6 6mm screw, which doesn't fit my Trek 820. And from other reviews it seems that this is a common problem. Additionally, it's not trivial to procure just 1 fender attachment bolt and nut that is coated, won't rust, etc. - you can buy a simple stainless steel one at Lowe's but it will rust within months unless you do frequent and ongoing maintenance.The instructions are also horrible, so between that and the bolt size, taking off 1 star. But only 1 because I love the quality of the actual fenders themselves and the look/ function.

Excellent fenders for the price and made of recycled bottles for that extra feel good. Light weight, durable, flexible, relatively easy to install. One slight is that the front fender doesn't follow the radius of the tire exactly, so it does protrude back a bit. This has caught the front of my foot while back pedaling in a tight turn. Could likely be fixed with a bit of string and a heat gun or hair drier, but hasn't been issue enough to bother with the mod.

I like the looks of these fenders, but I guess it stops there. My set came with a broken frame clip for the rear fender which just happened to be the size I needed for the frame I was installing them on. I installed them anyway because the second clip seemed to be an OK fit, but once on the frame but wasn't as snug as it should have been. Anyway, the fenders are very flimsy and I'm not sure if the rear fender will stay in place over the tire after hitting a few bumps and it starts moving around. Both fenders have a slight twist to them, so I cant center them over the tires and they look crooked. Hopefully they will straighten out after some time in the sun. All in all, I think I would recommend that you save your money and put it toward a better set of fenders.

I can’t decide if I actually hate these fenders or I just hate the gyrations necessary to get them on the bike. Awful attachment points, awful hardware, worse installation instructions. Now that they are on they are functional. That’s about all that I can say.

Just got mine today. Front fender was fine, rear fender does not fit well and has a lot of play, rear fender also curved sideways a bit so that it did not actually cover the wheel, in order to make it do it’s job I had to tape it to my rear rack. Considering it would not keep me dry without me having to tape it into place I would recommend just getting something else. If you do get them, don’t expect much, they don’t have enough points of contact to be rigid/stay in place. I can tell when I ride it tomorrow they will flop around and need readjusting.

This won’t help with heavy rain, but if need something for short errands or commutes AND need a semi-flexible fender for vertical hanging. This is a champ.
