Patched up my ol jacket like new.
Worked great on my jacket. Had mice get into my storage closet and chewed o hole in the sleeve. Just follow the instructions and it'll do the job

I have been using these for years
I have been using these iron-on patches for years, and they have never let me down. They are a piece of cake to apply, and they wash beautifully. They come is various sizes which is a plus. They are sturdy, a good weight, and very durable. Simply patching a few things saves a lot of money.

Great product if you sew around the edges.
My husband works in a factory where we have to purchase his uniforms. When he ripped one pair of pants, we didn't want to pay for a new pair, so I bought the patches. The product is packaged as expected. I ironed them on in two different places on the pants. At first they worked like a dream. After a few washings, they started peeling around the edges. I then read the instructions that say, turn inside out when washing and do not dry in the dryer. I ironed them back down, and followed the washing directions. This worked for a couple more washings. The fabric of the patches is pretty durable, and I wasn't ready to give up on them yet, so I sewed around the edges of the patches. They have been washed a few more times, and have stayed on so far. I haven't tried any other brands of this type of patch, so I have nothing to compare it to. I don't know if the other brands will peel around the edges as well. Overall, I have given this product four stars because I am getting what I need from it, I just had to do some hand-stitching around the edges to make it work. This still saved me from having to buy a new pair of pants.

LOOK NICE, STICK GOOD

work well
Thick material and sticks well after ironing. Great for repairs or reinforcing worn areas. Colors are nice and versatile.

Harmed an iron, stained a fabric! Better option available!
When ironing, some of the glue ended up on my iron -- utterly ruining the surface, and I can't get it off even with goo gone or a green scrubber pad. That shouldn't be. Second problem, when using this khaki patch on a lighter khaki/tan fabric, the patch's color somehow smeared onto the pants -- making a fairly large slightly dark smudge -- that resisted soap and "shout". It's as if the dye lifted off, due to the iron's heat, and transferred to the cloth where it didn't belong. I didn't notice this when using Navy patches on a Navy cloth, obviously, because the colors matched. All I can say is, Beware! If I patch from behind (i.e. on a twill pants leg, turn it inside out so the patch is on the inside of the ripped leg) it makes the area stiff, and adds an edge that my kid finds uncomfortable. But the bleeding problem wouldn't matter that way. Next time, I will use a piece of scrap fabric, e.g. sacrifice an old air of pants for material, and use a fabric glue (so far, Aleene's Fabric Fusion seems to do the trick) even though it's a bit more work to fold edges over and glue them before gluing on the patch. Followup a month or two later... Aleene's Fabric Fusion has worked VERY well. Sacrifice one old item, cut it up for patches (e.g. Kids' pants). Glue 'em up, put paper or index cards on either side to keep glue contained, press under a couple of books, and the patch will stand up very very well. Buying these patches has not turned out well -- edges curl, entire sides of the patch lift off, they're thick and slightly uncomfortable for the kids, and ironing them on is harder than gluing w Aleene's.

Doesn't adhere to all fabrics and NOT dry clean/washing machine proof.
Worked fairly well but these are NOT dry cleaning proof and washer proof on all fabrics. Make sure you have a premium iron that gets really hot to ensure good bonding. Those that criticized the bonding probably didn't have a hot enough iron or were using on a fabric that doesn't bond well like stiff denim. I used these to patch holes in two pairs of suit trousers, one made of a fine wool/cashmere blend and the other a more standard wool. The fabrics are probably too fine to be making men's suit pants out of, especially for those with thick thighs like me. I used these patches on either side, adhered inside the trouser legs so they are not seen. (Well, not that anyone is looking between my legs at work - or are they???) Initially the bonding was great, but after sending to the dry cleaners the patches on the more standard wool pants were completely separated from the fabric. They stayed mostly adhered to the wool/cashmere blend that is more like a flannel but came loose a bit and I had to iron them back in those spots. Initially they were a bit stiff and not the gentlest against the skin but that got less so with wear. I also used these to patch a pair of denim but they did not stay bonded at all after washing in the machine and I had to hand sew them into place.

Was able to save my husband’s favourite pair of work trousers with these. Good colour match too. He is very happy and so I am as they were so easy to use! A five minute job. Perfect.

these work well. Make sure you follow the instructions. You need to iron the material that you want to apply the path to first before applying the patch< as per the instructions. warm fabric helps the patch adhesive stick and last. if you iron patch to cold fabric, It could peel off. it tells you this in the instructions, but most people don't read them, then Wright a bad review. Patch works well< If it does start to lift ( peel off )< why not try to re iron it back on? i had big tear in my denim pants< I put one patch inside ( glue facing out and one patch outside< so glue from each patch were facing each other, but I pre ironed the fabric, before putting on patches about 30 seconds. Patch is strong and durable. A little bit of one corner is lifting< but I pull on it and it does not come off more, or peel more< i will try to iron it back down. I hope this review helps.

Quality patches, easy to iron on. Adhesion could be better, but they are no worse than any other patches I've tried elsewhere.
