It’s Prince.... enough said

Must have for Prince fans, and a perfect replication of the Japanese release from Prince’s golden era. The extended Pop Life and Erotic City make it worth the price alone. With one disc at 45RPM and the other at 33 1/3, just remember to change your turntable speed. Nice pressing overall, and a perfect party record.

Normally, a review should only be about the music contained. If you're a huge Prince fan, you know about the mistakes on Purple Rain Deluxe(bad mastering, Erotic City intro fiasco). And you know that despite having Thousands of hours of music, the first unreleased album was a piano rehearsal with 34 minutes of music. I was looking forward to getting this album, but "Rasberry beret," and "Little Red Corvette" have been transferred at the wrong speed. Not exactly Camille, but did Warners put Gomer Pyle in charge of the mastering? Trying to be a Prince fan after his passing is not an easy job. A whole bunch of people are fighting over money that will end up in the hands of lawyers, like "Londell McMuffin," who may be the most money hungry overrated non-knowledgeable music hack in history. Until somebody at Warners, or the Prince estate wakes up and finds out what real Prince fans want, we will continue to get haphazard releases, and continue to get mainly dvd releases of old things. Apparently nobody at Warners or the estate has heard of this strange new invention called "Blu-Ray," that actually has the best possible sound quality. If you run into any of the people in the know, have them google "Blu-Ray." Sad, that the greatest artist in history has his music legacy getting ruined by a bunch of buffoons who know nothing of his art. Get ready for a ten disc set of Tony M outtakes, it's probably the next release.

La calidad de la re-edición es estupenda, así como el sonido. Con joyas difíciles de encontrar como la versión extendida de Pop Life (está mal etiquetada como "Fresh Dance Mix" que es la que incluía el maxi de ese tema, pero en realidad es la "Extended Version", diferente y remezclada por el propio Prince).La tienda hizo un envío rápido y en un envoltorio perfecto. Las cinco estrellas van también para ellos.

This is a great album, but the RSD rip off price means it probably isn't value for money.
