Lemome Thick Classic Notebook with Pen Loop - A5 Wide Ruled Hardcover Writing Notebook with Pocket + Page Dividers Gifts, Banded, Large, 180 Pages, 8.4 x 5.7 in

This was my first forray into premium notepads because of its entry level price. I have now used most of the Notebooks first hand and can give a more reasoned opinion on this one: This is the best entry level notebooks, great for daily notes or idea taking. For the price you are getting a ton of value. For some, the elastic pen holder can detract from the aesthetic, but for me it fits well with the general two tone palette and the elastic closing strap. Plus it is super handy and fits any large fountain pen. Continuing with the outside, the notepad has a great faux leather feel which is soft to the touch yet holds firm and doesn't bend at all. Next the pages have for me have some of nicest ivory tones and are thick enough for a heavy flow pen not to bleed through. Not the best out there, but at this price, definetly above any competition. There is also a handy wallet at the back but I have yet to make any use of it. Handy for some but does make the book slightly thicker, practically unnoticable though. Overall, the reason this was my first premium notepad should be the same as yours. It is the best entry level premium notepad out there and at a great price to start giving your journally / writing some love.

I bought this during my first year in university and definitely do not regret buying it. I first bought this so that it would get me started on journalling, and it actually came into great use when the pandemic hit. The packaging was really cute. It came in a white container that says "I am a gift", which is also wrapped in a thin plastic. I liked the packaging as it created an extra barrier against anything that could damage the notebook on the transit. The paper quality was really nice - the ink from any pens does not seep through the other side of the paper. I did find that some pens, such as fountain pens and gel pens, did take longer to dry on the paper compared to normal printing A4 papers. I even painted on the paper with water colour. Although the paper did lift and such, as it is not a water colour paper, the paper did hold on really well. There were also no transfer on the other side and no rips from having water touch the paper. The notebook has a hardcover on it which makes it really sturdy and a good protector for the paper. The sturdiness does add to the weight of the notebook though, so I would not recommend this for those who are looking for a on-the-go light-weight type of notebook. Despite how thick and sturdy it is, the the spine of the notebook is actually quite flexible and did not break on me. It was actually really well made and made it easy to open the notebook full 180° which is satisfying. The elastic that holds the notebook shut is truly so good. It did not loosen overtime and held the notebook together well. I didn't find the pen holder useful, but I think that is just me. If you want to put a thick pen on the pen holder then it will take longer for the elastic to stretch out to accommodate the pen. The price of this notebook is definitely worth it. I bought it for £10.29 in November of 2019 and now it is £9.99. The quality is something that I have never seen before and something that I cannot see now either. With Christmas coming around in 90 days I would 100% recommend gifting this to people.

I'll be comparing this to LEUCHTTURM1917 337963 Notebook Medium (A5), 249 numbered pages, dotted, white as this is the notebook I had previously, and is probably the most common. I've had my Leuchtturm for 2 years. This time I got ruled, just personal preference, it's less chaotic. I'm using this as an adapted bullet journal. I got this journal this morning and I've already set it up. What I love -Solid quality. -The paper is 120gsm, which means almost no pen ghosting! Leuchtturm is around 80gsm and I couldn't use ink pens or watercolour. Heavier paper feels nicer to write on overall. In comparison, a professional artists sketchbook for watercolour is around 170gsm, which is impossible to ghost. There's no point in going any thicker for journals, as it would have to have a ridiculously small amount of pages. -There's 180 pages, less than the Leuchtturm, but I found that with the Leuchtturm I still had half of the journal left after 2 years. (Occasional journaling) -It smells like cork, which smells like the beach/summer. -The texture you see in photos is printed on but there is some actual cork texture to the front cover too. It's matt. -The Lemome logo is not intrusive, it's on the back. -The lines are dashed evenly, which makes vertical lines easier to draw. Best of both worlds of dotted and ruled. They're also not too dark or too light. -Rubber band is snug. -Back pocket, same as the Leuchtturm. -The pages are perforated. Other things to consider -No page numbers. -It's less pages, but it's still thicker than the Leuchtturm. -1 bookmark as opposed to 2. -The pages are a little lighter than Leuchtturm, but still Ivory colour. -There's a pen loop included. -You get a set of sticker tabs. -Comes in a nice black box, would be nice as a gift for someone. What I don't like -Nothing If you fill up pages quickly, want two bookmarks or really need page numbers, maybe this isn't for you. But this is my favourite journal by far and I'm really glad I tried it, I would pick this over the Leuchtturm again, especially when it's cheaper. Both of them are great so it ultimately comes down to your personal preferences.

The item was great, ordered some in 2021 and having a look at how much I paid for and how much this notebook costs now the price is 4 times the original price which is kind of insane.

Nothing beats a traditional, fold-flat notebook for working out ideas, making impromptu notes, or drawing diagrams and making rough sketches - no piece of modern technology comes close to its convenience and ease of use. This is a brilliantly lovable example of such a notebook. The thick, wide-ruled paper is of premium quality, and there's plenty of it (180pp), firmly bound in bands to ensure perfect fold-flat opening without losing a sheet. The elastic pen loop, indispensable on these books, is very well made and matches perfectly the closing band, the bookmark ribbon, and of course the durable hardcover. Finally there's a document pouch at the back, very handy for related items (receipts, clippings, business cards etc). What a fantastic gift for the writer, thinker, or doodler in your life!

Firstly, the design looks really top quality in the way they have created the book covers with the spine - looks very top notch and having the pen holder on the spine to me makes much more sense and appears very unique. It’s the best notebook I have used that truly lays flat on the surface so it’s great to write on. The paper is a very light cream colour and at 120gsm is thick and has a good feel. The quality in my opinion and certainly given the good price is very high indeed and should be compared with Leichttrum1917 and Moleskine. The dark blue colour is great 👍🏻

I've been searching for the "perfect" journal for years (yes, I know, sad, isn't it?) andI think I might just have found it. I was looking for the closest approximation to the French school notebooks Marcel Proust used in the early years of the 20th century and this is the nearest I have found, even with a cork cover, which is doubly appropriate. It doesn't have pages numbering or a margin rule but I can live without that. The paper is cream, heavy, hight quality, fountain-pen friendly, with a dotted line that I feared might be a problem but in reality I had to look at it under a magnifying glass to see the dots or dashes. The pages are perforated and there have been some reports of pages falling out but only time will tell if that is a problem and there is always the elastic band to keep everything in order. It comes with a rear pocket, some sticky labels and a pen band, which I won't use and may remove. Now, all I need is the "perfect" pen and I can finally start my magnum opus.

My new travel journal, I spent hours going through the never ending list of potential journals. I used to have one from a very well know brand, but as a fountain pen user I had 2 problems, firstly my ink seeped through the paper and secondly, even though I us an extra fine nib the lines were too close together. My new Lemome journal has beautiful quality paper that does not allow the ink to seep through an the line spacing is perfect for my writing style, no more trying to squash my letters together And my writing no longer looks like an inebriated spider fell into the ink before walking across the paper. I use a well known French made ink in a special soft brown colour, perfect for the smooth creamy paper. Like another wiĺ known brand there is the useful pocket in the back, a ribbon to keep your place & some super little stickers to place on the edge of your journals pages to divide it up into sections that suit your needs. In future ALL my journals will be from Lemome.

One of the best notebooks I've ever had.

Me ha parecido una compra perfecta. El cuaderno viene perfectamente empaquetado en una caja negra. Y cuando lo descubres, en seguida te das cuenta de la buena calidad que tiene. Las hojas son gruesas, y son un montón. Por lo general estos cuadernos suelen llevar muchas menos. Viene con marcapáginas de tela y una goma para cerrar el cuaderno. También, con unas pegatinas y un compartimento dentro del propio cuaderno para que guardes lo que quieras. Así como una goma en el lateral para que puedas dejar ahí el bolígrafo. Las tapas son duras aunque ligeramente acolchadas. Por lo general, me ha parecido de una calidad superior a las famosas "Moleskine", que encima, son muchísimo más caras. En cuando acabe esta libreta volveré a comprar otra igual, sin duda.

La grandezza è A5 (metà A4,i fogli comuni della stampante) con copertina spessa rivestita in pelle sintetica, elastico per la chiusura, segnalibro e portapenna. 180 fogli mi pare, spessi e di qualità. C'è anche un taschino interno. Molto meglio della Moleskine ad un prezzo addirittura inferiore. Consigliato.

Excellent carnet, solide, papier épais, les lignes sont pratiques

C'est un très bel objet, sa couverture en liège est magnifique et agréable au toucher. Il dispose d'un élastique de fermeture et d'un autre petit élastique cousu dans la couverture arrière pour glisser un stylo ou autre crayon. Les feuilles sont discrètement lignées en pointillé, le papier est d'une bonne épaisseur, et il y a une ligne prédécoupée en marge gauche si on souhaite détacher une page. Un ruban fait office de marque-page, il y a une pochette cartonnée à l'arrière et Le carnet est livré dans un étui de carton blanc marqué sobrement "I'm a gift" en gravure dorée au centre d'une de ses faces. Tout est parfait, il ne reste plus qu'à écrire.
