Minnetonka Men's Leather Laced Softsole Moccasin

Nice material. Comfy.

This was a wise purchase and one that I delayed for many years. I used to wear moccasins by Minnetonka in the early 70's and loved the way they fit and how durable they wore both indoors and outdoors. I read all the reviews and settled on ordering my moccasins at a half size larger then normal. Well, it's winter and I am wearing socks so they fit perfectly on first try. Now a week later I wish that I had ordered them per my regular shoe size. I know now that they are stretching and are already feeling a bit loose so I will need to order another pair to go sans socks during the spring and summer. I do love the comfort of these moccasins and although I don't remember a cushioned insole from my earlier years I can say these are truly a comfortable foot wear. I am not likely to wear these outside (although I want to) I haven't worn a pair of shoes in the house in over 30 years. Perhaps another pair for outside and driving. I normally wear around a size 10 and I have a pair of size 10 hard sole two button boots that fit well, perhaps a little large even. I ordered a size 10 thinking they would be a similar fit, but found that they hurt my feet they were so small. Luckily I was able to return them at my local UPS store and got another pair in a larger size the same week. After receiving the correct size I love these shoes. I've been wearing them for a couple of months and couldn't be happier. I work in a kitchen and wear Dansko clogs all day, so after working 12 hours in stiff heavy shoes I want to be as close to barefoot as possible. I put on my mocs and drive home. I also wear them on when I run errands on my days off (not that I do much of that during this pandemic) but they hold up better than I thought they would. Obviously you need to avoid any puddles or sharp objects, but running to the grocery store or, well, that's pretty much the only place I go right now, but they are just fine for that. They're not going to last you forever if they're your daily shoes, but if you like being almost barefoot, and don't mind replacing your shoes a couple times a year, I think you'll enjoy these. Or if you're just looking for house shoes, these will probably suit you as well.

not quite as wide as I had hoped and shorter sides than i remember from last time i purchased a pair but everything is getting smaller with larger price tags in this economy so i got what i expected also they glue the insole liner in and i like to remove the liner because i just want leather no plastic liner so i am a little disappointed in that aspect but i imagen the glue will give out before the leather dose so some day i will have what i wanted.

Very comfortable with the insole. Appears well made. I wanted something that lets my feet work as they should and offered some protection from things I might step on. I’m not a doctor but I do believe there are many benefits to Wearing such shoes

REALLY wanted a pair of these as slippers. It is so difficult to find proper sized slippers, and near impossible to find wide or x-wide. I ordered a size larger, in wide. It says W on the box, it says “703W” prior to the size, so I assume that’s “wide”. I cannot get my foot in. Loosening the lace appears pointless. I am very disappointed. This is a photo of one next to the exact same labelled size in a walking shoe. Even with the photo it’s difficult to convey the size difference as the moccasin is not nearly as tall. To “stretch” to the requisite width it would be about 1/4” tall.

These are the only moccasins I have ever bought for my husband (30 yrs) and would not try anything else. We are working on his third pair
