A Shade of Vampire 11: A Chase of Prey

Man, this series just keeps getting better! With each new book that comes out I am always a little fearful that this’ll be the one where it loses its steam but every time I am left wanting the next installment! This latest book was no exception, in fact I think this particular installment was one of the strongest ones to date in the series. To me it really felt like old school Shade, back in the Derek/Sofia days. There’s been a lot of story threads going on in the last few books, some major and some minor but this book mainly focused on Caleb and Rose’s journey to try to get back to the Shade and all of the danger that it entailed. I liked that this was the main focus of the book, it allowed us time to see their relationship grow and I really loved seeing them together. Of course there was a twist or two thrown in at the end there with them, just to keep things interesting!I also liked that this whole book took place within the “human realm”, it was interesting seeing these supernatural beings having to deal with real life dangers and threats. The situations they found themselves in were edgier and scarier than we’re used to, but I liked that she switched it up a bit here. I found it quite suspenseful and I couldn’t flip the page fast enough to find out what happened next! Of course there was the usual supernatural threats to contend with too, and the plot definitely thickened in that regard! I really can’t want to see what’s in store next with that storyline.While this book really focused on Caleb and Rose, there were plenty of developments and updates on all of the secondary characters and we were introduced to several new characters that are sure to factor in largely as the series progresses. Big changes for Ben, Vivienne and Xavier and it seems changes could be coming for Aiden, Claudia and Yuri as well. Time will tell! All I know is that I’ll definitely be there to find out, I’ve already pre-ordered the next installment!

I thought the last 2 books in this series (10 & 11) were the best in a long time. I was completely entertained and hated when I had to stop reading. Can't wait to see what happens between Caleb, Rose and Annora (hope I spelled that correctly).My only complaint is that books are now too short. We get half the book we used to get at the same price. $3.99 a pop for a 2 hour read is outrageous. Books used to be 500-600 pages for $3.99.Price should be decreased.

I love this series but this one was definitely my least favorite so far. There was a whole lot more real world than supernatural world. It just didn't have the same feel as the series has had so far. I did like it a lot. Just didn't feel like the Shade series. It was a bit outlandish. I wanted to read about what was going on with more than just Rose and Caleb. Which is pretty hypocritical of me because before this book I was frustrated that there wasn't MORE of Rose and Caleb. Always gotta have an excuse to complain! Good book though.

I love A Shade of Vampire ....I have been with Derek n Sofia from the beginning .... now I anxiously await to read about Rose n Ben their twins ... I wish that all that truly love to read about the world or the realm of the supernatural read this beautiful love story because it's like a sweet onion with its acquired taste n all the layers it brings so much n so many different adventures n emotions that u can't help but love n want more .

Excellent read. Just when you think Rose will make it back to the Shade with Caleb, Annora resurfaces and now the dam Sanctuary wants Mona back. What will happen to the Shade? Those dam black witches. They need their comeuppance NOW! Can't wait for the next story. Will Rose get to keep her Caleb or will he succumb to the old Annora.

Yet again Bella has us on the edge of our seats! In this book some questions get answered, but of course it has a 'Bella' ending and now I can't wait for #12! Thank goodness book #12 has a release date!

I love the thrill all the way throughout the book. It makes one want to read more and more books.

Keep the flow of storytelling coming. Because, Bella you are on a roll that has captured me in your novels. This is the eleventh review I have written and I am unable to say anymore . . . worthy read. You supernatural reader will be glued to the pages.

This is my favourite so far! I could not put this book down, it was amazing from start to finish!! Bella Forrest has created a wonderful world that you can just get lost in. I love how it is written from different character's perspectives, it makes for a very interesting read. I am in love with one of the main characters and I seriously cannot wait until book 12 comes out so I can find out what happens next! This series of books are my all time favourites and I recommend them to anyone and everyone. Please don't ever stop writing Bella! x

I adore reading these books by Bella, amazing storylines, I already have book 12 and have started reading.Bella' s imagination knows no bounds, I've got a long way to go to catch up to her lol. She certainly knows how to put the right twists in her books, love them x.

Oh my God Bella forrest does it again brilliant I Don,t no where she gets these ideas from but I love Bella and the novaks please bring these out has films I have fallen in love with rose and celeb but now poor rose. I say who ever has,nt read these books please u won,t be disappointed they are brilliant Bella rocks by kathy doyle

love these books however some do come with misprints and the quality of the publishing is a little spotty. but the story line is addictive. will keep buying purely for the story line

The Shade of Vampire series just keeps getting better and better.Again the twists and turns Weren't ones that you could predict coming. I am very much looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
