My boyfriend and his kids have been to Disney World on almost every year of the kid's lives. The one thing they rave about are the Mickey Waffles. So I just had to get them a way to have them at home. I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much time I put into researching the right waffle maker and batter to make them. I'm going to give you the benefit of all that research: this IS the maker you want. Period. Don't hesitate. And the batter you want is also available - Carbon's Golden Malted Waffle Mix. If you want more information on why I've come to this conclusion keep reading. But the result was that the waffles we made were "exactly like we had at Disney World!" according to my crew. First: there were two kinds of "dies" that made the Mickey shape that I found out there on the market. When you search you'll see. This is the one you want. The other isn't that authentic shape from the park. Next do you need the double maker? Oh yeah. If you've got more than, say, two or three to feed I recommend the double maker. The waffles are about the size of a little one's hand or adult palm. My teen eats 3-5. So you can see if we're cooking for 5 how it adds up. It would take too long on a single 3 waffle maker. Once you've cooked enough for your family, the first ones would be cold. Get this double maker so you can crank out 6 at a time. Is it easy? It literally doesn't get easier. The kids make them for US some mornings! Durable? Yup! I always hold off on my reviews until I've put something through it's paces and this has endured so many breakfasts. Cleans easy. We just wipe it with a damp cloth while hot, let it cool and store on a shelf in the garage for the next use. If there's a Disney family in your life they WILL love this gift. One of the best buys I've ever made. This waffle maker is easy to use and easy to clean. It is non-stick and makes perfect mickey Waffles. Made a big batch in 10 mins! Different heating levels for your preference. Light to dark. Beeps when ready and has light to show when ready. Easy storage and super cute with mickey on it. I definitely recommend to all Disney lovers kids and adults!

This is a lot more rickety than the Cuisinart double flip waffle maker. The inside is some kind of plastic looking stuff that doesn't seem to stick very much. Not sticking is good when it comes to waffles, but I'm not sure what it is because it doesn't seem to be the same as what is in a normal waffle maker. It has been easy to clean. But the parts feel cheap and rattly and nowhere near worth the price point. The Mickey waffles are not as thick as the Mickey waffles at the park, but they are cute and still thick enough to enjoy as a Belgian-style waffle. Four stars due to it being the only option for Mickey waffles. If it were a random double flip waffle maker without any Mickey theming, I'd give it 3, and it wouldn't anywhere near worth the price.

This was a splurge for me. I wouldn't normally spend this much on a waffle iron but we're a big Disney family and our kids love these waffles. It's super easy to make them and they always come out perfect and bring that bit of Disney nostalgia home since we only go about one a year or so. We use it at least once a month so for the price, it's worth it to us! My girls were also super excited that one side is Mickey and the other is Minnie so they get to have both.

The worst waffle maker ever!!! None of the batch comes out properly. They are always burnt, even at one of the lowest settings.

First waffle maker arrived damaged and they shipped a replacement quickly. Worth every penny for the casual or hardcore Disney / Mickey fan. Worth every penny if you just enjoy making and eating waffles.
