Review: First Time EVER airbrushing and LOVED IT! - I just recently picked up the hobby of cake decorating for fun. I’m getting better with each one but I’m not a great artist at all. One thing I did NOT get from a family of artists. But I give it effort. I bought the Professional AirBrush Cake Decorating Kit with 12 bottles of dyes thinking that this could maybe help with a specific Alice in Wonderland cake I was doing. I did not know what to expect but I watched a few videos trying to see different techniques on how to use the airbrush. Since I got this in 2 weeks ago I have used it so many times. Really every chance I get. I found that regular food dye works fine with this as well. So I went to the grocery in the spice isle where there is Food Coloring where you would get the coloring even to dye Easter Eggs with. I put 15 tiny drops in the air brush and was able to brush a whole 6 stack of 6 inch cakes tall with 3 10inch cakes on the bottom(Cheshire Cat with Mad Hatter Hat on top). So the dye lasts much longer than I was thinking as well. Here I was worried about ordering more color in time to finish the cake and barely put a dent in the bottle I had. Although I have only used one air brush so far. The others look a little more complex. Any airbrush will spray automotive paint. When using solvent based paint, it swells up the needle bearing. If using water based paint it shouldn't affect it. A good solvent based paint airbrush would use a Teflon needle bearing. **Q: does it come with a case to store it?** A: No, it does not come with a storage case.
