GerberPlumbing Right Angle Shower Extension Arm with Flange

This shower arm is exactly what I wanted for my new jacuzzi tub shower, to extend out over the tub. Unfortunately my contractor put the plumbing connections too low and tiled the wall before we realized it. The arm is 90 degree instead of angled, so it was too short for us. He bought an S-shaped arm to gain height, and I am not going to ask him to re-do the job. Bottom line is make sure you place it high enough to put on the shower head and stand under it -- it looks like it will work well to get the water away from the wall.

I ordered this because I figured for the lower price paid that it was worth a shot. I installed it and was careful not to over tighten the rod itself or the shower head installed on it. I did not have any of the issues mentioned around bending. The plate at the bottom fit nicely and it supports an 8" head just fine and the unit came packaged nicely and without damage.

I installed this in our bathroom and I had to remove it 3 times in order to add more tape on the treads. I've installed quite a few bathroom fittings but this one seems to have given me the most issue with the fitting leaking without adding a large amount or tape. Other that that we love how it brings the shower head out from the wall for better reach.

What you pay is what you get. Flimsy arm due to thin metal. Shallow threads do not give you the impression or confidence of a quality product. For the cheap price (at fraction of Grohe, Hansgrohe or Kohler), that's all you can expect. Not designed to get on/off multiple times; otherwise it looks good and hopefully it will last for awhile even it is on the filmsy side.BTW, make sure not to over torque or bump it. It will twist out of shape easily. I learned the hardway. Just use lots of teflon tape for alignment (trial and error).

Solved all my problems. Much better than adjustable solutions that leak. It was not thin-walled as some have noted- and shows no sag or issues in my installation with 8" round rain-head. Nice to get showered from the top instead of the side.Also works great to minimize splash outside of shower area when you are working with doorless shower enclosures as the angle is down, not "out the door." Now if it would only squeegy the glass shower wall for me...

We remodeled our shower. Tore it down to the studs...And when we unpacked the rain shower unit we had purchased, the shower arm included was a joke. It was 8 inches long, and if we wanted to shower right next to the wall, it would have been perfect! But we didn't. This one is exactly as it is described, and gives you enough space away from the wall to make your rain shower head perfect. I may need another for my other bath!

Brushed nickel color was a complete match to my existing shower system and easily supports the weight of the shower head. Kit comes with some teflon tape which is a nice touch. Only criticism is that the face plate is light guage so I kept my original one which was more substantial.

This shower head is so awesome! I feel so clean after getting out of the shower, it covers every part of you. Our grown daughters come over and stay over and will use the shower before bed and in the morning, turn out the lights and see the colors it is so great! I feel like it is something that will never tire of. Colors are regulated with water temperature, so no guessing! This is a great purchase!

If you use a large rain shower head this product is excellent to extend the distance of the shower head from the bathroom wall. Note if you are a taller person you would need to take this into account when installing since this product and set height accordingly.

Perfect fit into standard Canadian plumbing and very sturdy. Excellent design which fits well with any plumbing fixture.

The products fit fine. I wish have longer arm like 19 inches will be more perfect. overall it fit my rain shower head just fine.
