Heavy Duty Raincoat (2X-Large) (PVC Coated Polyester) 60-inch

Coat seems great for the price relative to the ultra cheap material rain covers as alternatives. However, two problems which make it less than perfect: 1) the snaps are not terribly good, i.e., they unsnap themselves relatively easily, 2) despite being labeled as "heavy duty," the material seems to rip more easily than I would have imagined and seems to separate too easily at the seams. These aren't horrendous problems (especially at the price), but perhaps the next iteration could improve these features.

I actually bought this to cut the sleeves off so I could make a "cable boot" to run some cables into a PVC conduit pipe. I slipped a sleeve over the pipe and ran the cables through and the cinched the sleeve down on the cables with a couple of cable ties. It's not meant to be water resistant, but just to keep bugs out and air from flowing freely between spaces. It works well for this and if I need to run more cables, I can by removing the cable ties. I'm sure this would work great for its intended purpose as well!!! It seems very well made.
