are these for preschool?

I am sure they would be great for preschoolers but I bought them for my 6 year old granddaughter and her 8 year sister wanted a pair too. They are well made and work great! I have 17 grandchildren and I will buy these again.

What is the magnification factor of the binoculars?

These binoculars have a power of viewing objects 8 times closer than they would normally appear! These are 8X21 Lenses! Thank you!

Does the big bug habitat actually lock or close?

It closes but doesn’t lock. So, critters can escape. But the kit is awesome!
