Worked OK, but not at rated wattage output
This kit came in very handy during a recent trip to a few countries in Europe. My wife was able to power up her 120V curling rod just fine, but her 1600 watt 120V hair dryer struggled immediately upon power up, even though the converter was rated at 2000 watts for heating applicances. We eventually bought a cheap 220V hair dryer, as we did not want to damage our 120V US dryer. I would advise against buying this if you intend to power up a high wattage device, even if the wattage is below the rated capacity of the unit.

Fizzled Out in Five Minutes
I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or what, but I plugged my laptop into it and after a few minutes it stopped working. I switched it to the other setting and it made a buzzing noise but went back to charging my laptop. Soon after this, however, I noticed it wouldn't charge either my phone or my camera battery. Don't know what all that means, but I have a feeling there's some shoddy workmanship at play somewhere. Again, user error could also have been the case, but I would think it would be a little harder than that to short the thing out.
