Dave's Gourmet Hot Sauce, Temporary Insanity, 5 Ounce

I love this stuff. It has a great spice level, but it isn't absurdly hot like the regular Dave's Insanity. Tastes great dabbed on a piece of deer sausage, amps up chili, and tastes amazing on beef tacos. Strongly recommend.

I absolutely love this hot sauce. I have lots of hot sauce that I have gotten over the years, and this is by far the best one. Ran into it by chance at a restaurant and ordered it while still eating there.

The title of this hot sauce is ACCURATE. It is "temporary insanity!!!" But it is very worth it! I would recommend starting with just a dab to test your tolerance, TRUST ME. I love hot sauces and this is HOT. It is great alone and even better if you add a couple drops to buffalo or BBQ sauce, WOW AMAZING. I will be purchasing more flavors from this brand for sure!

UPDATE 4/5/21: Now that I've been able to taste the hot sauce in food, I don't care for it. Whatever taste they were going for, it's just sour and hot to me...lacks any pleasant sweet or salty notes...just sour. I'd return it if I could!........................Similar to another customer in March, my hot sauce bottle cap broken into pieces...but after opening it, not during shipping. I had to tape the cap back together as best as I could. Clearly the quality of the bottle cap has gone downhill lately.As for the sauce itself, it's hot! For me, too hot to just lick by itself. It immediately started burning my tongue. However, I cannot wait to try it in stews, soups, or as a wing sauce mixed with butter to cut the heat a little. I couldn't exactly taste any flavor when I tried it by itself; it was just immediate heat.According to Scovillescale.org, this sauce is rated as "Scoville Level 7" with 57,000 Scoville units. I may have bit off more than I can chew!

It adds some heat but with a chemical type taste. The flavor is just not there for me. It’s not bad just not great, fair to lower good. I guess I would compare it to that tang of a Taco Bell sauce but with more heat and something of a taste like licking a 9v battery.

I would love to give this sauce to everyone!! It’s delicious. I’m a super fan of spicy food so I use this sauce for everything. Thanks so much for such a good product. I highly recommend to get this sauce.

This has quickly become my favorite hot sauce. Hot enough to give that good "kick" but not so hot that it numbs out your taste buds. Yes, this is hot and not for the faint of heart. If your like me and love hot sauce, try this. It is the best in the line.

I love hot stuff. But, I don't like vinegar. So, I don't care for most pepper sauces such as Tobasco. However, this sauce doesn't have that vinegary taste. It looks more like a BBQ sauce. Has kind of a smokey flavor. It also packs a punch. Try it out with just a few drops (a VERY few drops!) until you get a feel for it. I use it in things like soups and stews. It REALLY perks them up!Soon you will be sweating up a storm and smiling from ear to ear!

I had been looking for a hot sauce that packs a real punch but isn't just something to blow your head off, and this is just the right balance for me. It's quite hot, but I still add it to food almost daily and find it the perfect combination of spice and taste.

My take on this is it cant be beaten, yes I have tried others but its a personal thing, its not massively hot, but depends on how much you use of course, it does not take to much to go overboard though... the power is there if you need it.The main thing is this sauce has lots of flavour and character, for instance it can change a humble snack of beans on toast into a delightful life changing culinary experience.Your kitchen is not complete without this in my opinion.

Nothing negative to say, it's always got a great kick to it, my favourite!

This sauce is a perfect middle ground for flavor and heat in between a low Scoville cheap vinegar sauce and Dave's insanity (some hot stuff).. temporary insanity is just that, High heat for a short time.

Probably would not buy again as this is too hot for me to bear :D. However, many sauces are just hot and have no flavor. However, this one does. I do recommend if u think this would float your boat :).
