don't beat this drum
The drum arrived with significant staining on the surface of the "skin", both sides. And the associated areas were thus, loose, so when hit, the drum makes a flabby "tump"... Have purchased the other, similar drums available, and have been pretty satisfied.

Too small and cheaply-made for even moderately good sound.
It's about as you would expect from a small, cheap drum. The quality of construction is o.k.—no issues—but the batter head is not pulled tight enough, and the sound is only slightly better than what you'd get from a cardboard box.

This is a small drum, meant for a child, but it is very good quality! It was shipped well and came in great condition! I was impressed with the quality of construction and the sound quality that it delivers.
