Barney - Sing and Dance with Barney

Barney is one of my two year old sons, favorite show and episode. I think it teaches him alot by singing. Dancing is lots of fun and starting to show personality. He learns Songs, numbers, caring., sharing, and to have a fun and active imagination. I would recommend it to alot of parents to at least try the show.. Its very hard trying to teach a two year old. But barney definitely lets us have fun while Learning

My daughter is almost 14 months and she LOVES this dvd!! If I ask her if she wants to watch barney she gets into her little seat and starts jumping up and down. There is lots of singing and dancing in the dvd and it is very entertaining and engaging. My daughter especially loves the part where all of the farm animals come out. She also copies all of the hand movements. We only have 3 dvds and this one is really the best. I am so happy I got it for her. Now I am on the hunt for more dvds just like this one.

Now, my granddaughter is only 20 months old but she adores Barney. She sings and dances along with him and it is amazing how many of the dances and songs she remembers. It is so cute so here her little voice singing the songs right along with them ... and at times she will out of nowhere pop up and start singing one of the songs ... and dancing one of the dances ... Now, her Dad can't stand Barney, and was totally against her watching Barney to begin with ... but as she has learned so much from it and is so cute ... he has gotten to appreciate all she has learned and I have noticed him putting the DVD on for her from time-to-time ... NOW THAT IS A RECOMMENDATION!!! It was also cute for my daughter and I, to see so many of the kids that had grown up ... as she still has VHS Barney videos that were her son's that are almost 10 years old. Barney never goes out of date or out of style.

I ordered this DVD based on the great reviews it got from other customers. As much as Barney can drive us crazy with his sugary love, It has been the biggest hit with my 20 month old grand-daughter. We, her mom, dad, grandpa and little Miss S have watched it countless times..It really grows on a person.. Barney and friends are sweet with such wonderful messages and learning songs ,dances and experiences for this nearly 2 yr. old. She asks for it to be played over and over and over. We finally had to stop watching it at nap time because she was so mesmerized by it and wouldn't drift off to sleep (bad habit anyway at nap or bedtime!) I think this video has made her more confident , happy and increased her understanding of people and places beyond her world at home. She also loves "Barney's colorful World...many of the same songs. I highly recommend it!

Purchased this DVD to use in my laptop during travel and to have an additional option to the VHS tape that we currently use. My 16 month old grand daughter absolutely loves Barney! "Barney" is one of her first words. She is high energy, but putting Barney on settles her down and keeps her attention, yet is educational and teaches children how to interact with each other as well. I love that this came with a CD as will use in the car, because she loves to sing in the car as well. When she is getting antsy in the car sometimes only singing helps soothe her and the CD will be a great help when we are running out of songs! My only issue with the DVD was when playing on my laptop during a flight it kept freezing. I tried cleaning it as some smudges were present. Not sure if was due to the flight turbulence or my laptop, but other DVDs seemed to work fine, I have since tried it at home in my DVD player and don't seem to have further issues. Was odd that this occurred and hope to not have further issues with it

I should know, I think I've gotten them all through Netflix at some point. This is my 20 month old son's very fave. There is no filler, they basically jump from one song to the next so even a child with zero attention span like mine won't get bored. The production value is high and all the songs are so cute! Defnitely worth adding to your library. If your child is a Barney freak, also try searching for Sing Along with Barney, which is a CD personalized to many children's names. For example if your child's name is Michael, Barney will put the word Michael over 80 times in the songs within the CD. They have a lot of names out there. SO CUTE!

She's watches it daily, and at 2-1/2 years old, she's now singing & dancing along with Barney and his friends! It's a happy, fun, educational experience that's pure pleasure for us to share. Ended up buying a second one for her to have at home, so this one could stay at Nana's...twice it was didn't make the trip from home for the day, and twice she spent the day looking for it!

The kids enjoy the entertaining and engaging music while I get a smile out of the nostoligic visits from characters that appeared on the show in years passed. This is a great video to turn on when we are stuck indoors for the day the action songs like Mr Kickerbocker get them moving and dancing while while classic nursery rhymes like Itsy Bitsy Little Spider and Twinkle twinkle little star have them singing along right away. Definitely helps us break the indoor boredom that can pop up in the cold winter months or after a few rainy days.

Didn't specify the region that the DVD was for meaning it wouldn't work in our DVD player. Son was distraught.

My oldest really enjoyed this DVD from 1 to 3 years old. It has a nice message, fun songs and dancing for kids. By 4 years old he no longer wants to watch it and unfortunately his younger brother just agrees with anything he says and won't give it a chance. Too bad because I think my youngest would really like it. If you have very young kids I think this is a great buy as it's safe, wholesome and fun.

My daughter loves Barney and it was just another DVD to add to her collection. No complaints from this mom!

My daughter's favourite one. My one complaint is the cd only has 5 songs.
