Used to be better quality but still does the job.
Bought to use as replacement foams in my external filter, have used similar in the past.I feel like they used to be a better quality and course to medium are pretty much the same thing, but still does the job. And for the price I certainly can’t complain. Will probs get another 4 sets of each for my fluval 206 canister.

I use them in a Hozelock bacterial filter.I could see a distinct difference after the first week or so.Because they are so effective, they do need to be cleaned a bit more often than my old ones.

exactly what is needed of a media filter. Althou a bit thick for the baskets of SunSun, had to use 2 baskets for the foam filters instead of one

Is actually a coarse/med/fine set of filter foam!
I'm not sure if you can really tell from my included pic, but these foam sets are actually coarse/medium/fine. The blue/white/black is this set. The green/blue/black is a previous set I bought. As you can see, a lot of times when ordering these filter foams, the coarse and medium look near identical porosity. They are both more coarse than a coarse/medium. There is a difference on this set! And they cost about the same as other same sized sets. This set actually cost exactly the same as the other set I included a pic of. I am very happy with this purchase. Should I ever need more filter foam for canister filters, I will buy this one again!
