Perfect - everyone needs one of these
I actually put one in my son in law's stocking because he's a gardener and I knew if he didn't have one, he'd find it handy - they're GREAT for pounding bamboo stakes into the ground - a hammer would split them faster than this would. Sometimes you just need a rubber mallet, and if so, this one is nice, well made, just what you need and feels friendly.

Finally found the right one for me
I needed a rubber mallet that wasn't too hard or too soft. This one here fits the bill. I do small project woodworking and needed one that would not harm the wood. Most rubber mallets leave marks and are a little too hard. This one is perfect. Also, I like the light weight size. The 1 pound hammers are simply too aggressive. This half pound version is perfect for gently tapping in dovetail joints.

Nice mallet for my wood shop
The handle is light and easy to hold, head is medium weight and good material for thumping. I will eventually misuse this and need another, I predict I will replace with same.

Perfect!
8 oz White Rubber Mallet Hardwood Handle Non-Marking Perfect for my needs - - - helping me pound on the chocolate chipper. I have carpal tunnel and often need to chop huge bars of chocolate. Lightweight enough to be handled easily and arrived within days of my order. BTW - check out the supplier's site! LOTS of goodies there too. This was WELL worth the price and is a beautiful and useful piece of kitchen equipment. Don't hesitate!

Great for our needs.
Bought for my three-year-old "handy man". It's big and heavy enough that he doesn't doubt it's "real" (he rejects toy tools), but not so heavy and sharp (like regular hammers) that it makes me nervous. The white keeps marks off my floors. It's a win for us! No idea how it functions as an actual tool, but it seems to be sturdy and well made.

Good for attaching the snaps on boat covers.
You have to keep your boat covered to protect it from sun fading and other elements.Attaching the boat cover snaps is difficult, unless you use this non-marking soft hammer. It makes the job simple and quick.

Good little mallet
Got this to replace the wooden mallet that came with my sons pounding bench. It's slightly too heavy for him yet and gives him an awkward swing (he's 20 months old and big for his age) but he likes it enough and I'm happy that it doesn't mark up the walls or leave any dings in the floor like the toy one he has.

It works without marking
What else would you want?
