Year-End Blowout Boulder Tools Laser Level & Mini Tripod, Self-Leveling, Bright, 360-Degree Horizontal And Vertical Cross Line Laser - desertcart.com Review: Brightest laser I've ever seen! - I used this laser level over Presidents Day weekend to ensure I was installing my recessed lighting straight. I couldn't believe how much easier it made the job. I posted a video of the result => perfect alignment! What I loved about this product was that even though i did this during the day I could still see the laser beam perfectly. I have another laser level that I've had for the past year or so that I can only use at night which is totally pointless. This however does not disappoint. It took me a few minutes playing around with it to figure out how all the buttons work. There are two modes, locked and unlocked that are controlled with the sliding switch on the front. Locked does not auto level and unlocked does. The functionality of the buttons on top change slightly in each mode. It probably would have helped if I read the directions beforehand but I eventually got it. Love that it has both the vertical and horizontal 360 degree line options. You can set it to only have one or the other or both going at the same time. Be aware that this is brighter than any laser pen I've ever seen. Your kids are going to want to steal it and run around the house lazering everything (and when I say kids I refer to my wife and I). Your neighbors might think the SWAT team is running through your house haha. Honestly, this product definitely exceeded my expectations. It's built well and looks and feels high quality. If my opinion changes I will post an update! Review: REALLY BRIGHT! - I got this because I needed a 360° laser that would reach at least 100 feet--I'm painting horizontal lines and hanging lights in a huge gymnasium, and I needed an easy way to get everything aligned at once. Also, I'm cheap and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the same product with a name brand on it. This fit the bill perfectly--it is *crazy* bright and we had no problem seeing it at 100', even with lots of daylight coming in the windows. Awesome. The case and tripod are both sturdy and well made. (I'm even thinking of getting a tripod adapter for my cell phone so I can use it for pictures.) Overall, this is an excellent value for what I paid. I did have a little trouble putting the batteries in (operator error): there are three AAs, and even though the slots they sit in look identical, two of them go one direction and the third goes in the other way. There are little notations to that effect on the lid, but I didn't have my reading glasses on, oops. Now you won't make the same mistake. Speaking of reading glasses, my only complaint about this purchase is that the instructions were in tiny print and they weren't all that helpful. That being said, there aren't that many buttons and it was pretty easy to figure out and use, which is exactly what my husband did when he saw it and thought I'd gotten him a present. HA! Get your hands off my laser, buddy.

Best bang for your buck
Seems to be just fine and levels its self beam transfers on to adjoining surfaces easy

Works perfectly, great value for the price, happily surprised
Great laser level, provides a bright, straight line that stretches across the room and is visible in full daylight. Setup takes like a minute, just insert the included batteries and flip the switch on the front. You can also use the tripod attachment if you like. Only two buttons so you're not inundated with too many options. And it levels itself so you know you have a straight line parallel with the floor or wall. This level does exactly what you need it to do very quickly and easily and is a steal at this price.

Used, broken open-box item sold as new.
The headline says it all. I paid for a new, unused, fully-functioning item. As happened to a previous reviewer, what I received had obviously been opened, used and returned. I might have been OK with this if it worked, but the horizontal laser line was non-functional. I checked the (damaged) instructions that came in the box to ensure I was using it correctly. Very bad Amazon / Boulder Tools experience.

Okay But Not Great
It works ok depending on the application. This laser is VERY finicky if the unit isn’t resting perfectly level, so not great at “self-leveling”. I bought this to set tile after my other laser died. I noticed after a while that my tile rows started to look a bit “off”. According to the laser they are dead on, but when I checked it with a level (stabila), the rows drop and 1/8” over 6 feet on either side. Unacceptable in my book but great if you want to hang a picture or just get a quick height for something. Otherwise, not a reliable laser for any sort of professional application. If you are looking reliability & accuracy, stick to purchasing a laser from a company that builds lasers, not a one off product like this.

This thing rocks
I was very impressed with the packaging as soon as I opened the box. I didn't expect a case to come with it so I was pleasantly surprised to see the black carrying case. The level was wrapped in bubble wrap inside the case. The level came with batteries and a small tripod. Using the level is very straightforward but includes detailed instructions to master every setting. I am very impressed with both 'locked' and 'unlocked' mode. Locked means the laser level won't move if you adjust the level; unlocked means it will self level if not completely straight. The laser is extremely bright but has a lower light setting in case you don't want it that strong. I tested outside and the bright level was still very easy to see. My favorite feature is both the vertical and horizontal level lines to make sure every picture is exactly straight. Home run of a product.

Boulder takes it to another level
Let me start by saying that while I may have rugged good looks, I’m not your typical rough and tough blue collar handyman. I enjoy yoga, pedicures and well hydrated, moisturized skin. But I digress... Ordered this puppy on a whim to level an oversized (8x8) mural of my favorite sentimental piece of art for an otherwise sad and lonely office space. I knew I couldn’t settle for one of those boring old “look at the bubble floating in green water” levels. I needed to be precise, I needed to be perfect, I needed something more. I went to Amazon like a good boy should. Like the Tinder match I’ve never had (happily married fella, here), I found the Boulder 360 laser level. Price seemed fair and the free shipping hooked me like a fat hungry sturgeon swimming in open water. You know that feeling you had when the training wheels came off and you could no longer feel a hand supporting you at the small of your back and then you just started gliding across the pavement on that tangerine orange Huffy? That’s how it feels to open this guy and know that you’re entering another dimension of graceful manhood. That old saying about cavemen? Forget it. More like, “it’s so easy (to level stuff with the Boulder 360 laser level) that a nancy boy with freshly manicured cuticles can do it”. And boy did I ever! Easy to use. Sleek. Affordable. Who knew leveling stuff could be so FUN?!
