Tom's of Maine, Botanically Bright SLS and Fluoride-Free Toothpaste - Spearmint, 4.7 Ounce

This toothpaste is great. The after-taste is very pleasant and not too strong. Its a very slight mint after taste. The taste while using is also not as harsh as your typical mint toothpaste. It tasted pretty good and was less rough on the mouth. I have noticed that I get canker sores every so often (2-3 times a year) and that this stuff really helps me. I ended up using "normal" toothpaste for 2-3 days while travelling and ended up developing a canker sore during that time. I really do think that my body is sensitive to something in the non-SLS-free toothpastes.Using this toothpaste has been the best change in toothpaste I have ever had hands down. I have used this toothpaste for years and it's always been great. I haven't been able to find it locally so I ordered it from here.It arrived just minutes ago and I found: first, the bottom tabs of the box are cut off so there's not even an expiration date or lot number; second, there is no little safety foil on the tube of toothpaste itself. How can I trust this is not contaminated or expired or not on some recall list somewhere? I'm afraid this is going to have to go in the trash...what a waste of money!!

6/12/2017 - Amazon just asked me to review this product but I've already done so in the past. My review below still stands true for me. This is still my favorite toothpaste and I decided to buy the 6 pack this time.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've been using Tom's Peppermint Fluoride Free for years. Finally decided to try a different flavor. This is my new favorite. Tastes better than Peppermint, no fluoride, and no SLS.I brush (with this toothpaste) and floss 3 times a day and the cleaning lady at the dentist never has much to do when I go in for cleanings.I'll continue to use this toothpaste as long as they keep it fluoride free and SLS free.

I wish that I had read the ingredient list more carefully, because I would not have wasted my money on this product. I am very allergic to chamomile, which is a cousin of ragweed. I like that it is free of fluoride and SLS. Not very many toothpastes out there like this one. So, for now, I will continue making my own. It works.

I admit that I got lazy and I was running out of this toothpaste. I looked it up here and found it. This is a very good toothpaste as it cleans and whitens without floride and it tastes good. I was in a hurry and, stupid me, I did not look carefully at the price. At Whole Foods the same toothpaste costs around $5.00. This seller charges about 2X retail. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

I have been dealing with canker sores my entire life. After doing some reading i found most sources led to this toothpaste. What a difference. Although i cant say i have still not had a sore since, but i will bet my paycheck that i don't get half the one's i did before. Anyone that has had canker sores knows that you cant put a price tag on making them go away. We often forget that we would also pay anything to not make them appear. A little preventative goes along way and this is the biggest one i have found yet. Wish i would have switched over sooner.

If you've studied the real history of Aluminum and what had to be done with the byproduct for disposal, you might reconsider the implications of the ingredients in most toothpastes....hint hint...Aluminum Chloro-hydrate. Does the finding of large traces of Aluminum are found in Alzheimer's Patients brains at autopsies give anyone concern??You can select SOME of Tom's toothpastes without this nasty ingredient.

I have dermatitis caused by fluoride (I know right). I switched to this type of Tom's toothpaste and it has helped so much. I actually think it tastes ten times better, and my teeth are actually less sensitive than when using the other brands I have had before. I have always had a problem with that. I usually feel clean afterwards, but not like I poured bleach in my mouth and scrubbed (that's a good thing). A great alternative to the normal guys.

Really fresh and have enjoyed the product for years.
