Very Good Heads!
I recommend this Evans head series (G2 Coated) to any drummer. Professional or not. I've only been drumming for about a year now and I've had my own set for about 9-10 months. I got these heads about two months ago and they're still strong. The sound is amazing.. The first time I put them on, I fell in love with the sound. It gives you that nice deep sound on the toms and bass and a nice pop for the snare. These are my first heads after the regular stock heads my set brought (4-Piece Sound Percussion Drum set), I can't really say they are the BEST heads out there simply because I haven't tried any other heads. But I am 100% satisfied with these heads. They get the job done. Well recommended!

Let me start by saying I've been playing drums for 16 years, gigging for 10, and have tried many different heads on many different kits. I've been playing g2 coated heads on my snares and toms for a few years and love them, and when my kick head needed replacing recently I figured I'd try on my kick as well. So far I've only done one gig with it, but it sounded great on my 22" Yamaha YD kick. I got compliments from the sound guy as well as other drummers (I backlined that night) and audience members. I play two ply heads for the deeper tone they give but even more so for the durability. I can't afford to change heads constantly and the two plies definitely extend the life of the heads. If you are looking for a versatile coated head and are tired of Remo's coating coming off after one session, give this a try.
