Montolit 3-3/8" Red Line SQUADRO Small Diameter Dry Use Diamond Blade

The blade ships in the packaging with a 5/8" "brass" spacer washer inside the blades center mounting hole. When that Spacer is removed this blade fits perfectly centered on the Dewalt Angle grinder. I used the blade to cut outlet holes in 18"x18" x 1/2" quartz backsplash tiles. I used this blade DRY and cut the straight lines and it worked perfectly. I pre-drilled relief holes with a 3/8" diamond hole bit using a wet method since the quartz was very brittle and was subject to cracking. Be sure to LET the blade do the work and don't try to be overly aggressive with your cuts as the material my crack prematurely. I made sure to cut from both sides of the material going almost halfway thru from the back as well as flipping over the tile and cutting halfway thru from the front. I made over 6 outlet holes (about 24 straight cuts.) To help save blade life ... I just used the $12 4 1/2" diamond blade for the really long straight cuts that you can pick up from your local BOX Store.

I was stressing over how to cut outlet holes in my expensive wall tile. This little blade was just the ticket for that. Cuts like a hot knife through butter! Straight smooth cuts! If I could give six stars I would.

Easily cuts dry nice rectanges and squares for outlets and switches and plumbing controls such a Delta shower controls in tiles. Its size and quality make it so easy to use.

The small diameter is perfect for making outlet cutouts in backsplash porcelain tile.

Used this to cut my 2 x 4 ceramic tile, saved me from getting out my tile saw, get you some diamond pads and sponges, you can polish any chips out.

You can cut or bevel perfectly on just about any type stone surfaces with the utmost precision. It is well balanced and continuous rim but segmented media. It make gouging between mosaics very easy before grout. Or you can make miter cuts for perfect finishes. Montolit makes some of the best tile tools. Will buy again.

Very clean cut. Fast and no chips

Montolit usually makes great tools. This blade doesn’t perform like other Montolit blades. Great idea to make a smaller blade for cutting out receptacles but the blade doesn’t cut clean. You’ll be left with chipped edges. I would pass on this one.
