Purchased and was delivered Jan 15, 2024. Yesterday (Apr 24, 2024) was the first time we used it (to blend canned tomatoes into a puree). After running a few seconds the blender made a horrendous noise and we stopped it immediately.Upon further investigation we found the nut holding the blades on the shaft had backed off and the top blade flew off the shaft. We were able to retrieve the parts out of the blender, but when I tried to reassemble the pieces I found both blades were damaged as were the threads on the shaft. It is not possible to thread the nut on the shaft to repair the item.The order page indicates that the return window closed on Feb 14 2024, and when I went to the Dreid seller page I found no information on returning a defective item. I am especially annoyed that I have no recourse to obtain a replacement part.

I’m so glad this was available. Our Cuisinart food processor/blender still works perfectly fine but the plastic base under this blade was cracked. Cuisinart has discontinued this processor model, and there are no parts available on their website. There was a replacement site on the Internet, but their prices were through the roof. This was the perfect replacement, fits perfectly, and came with two gaskets. The replacement site on the Internet sold the gaskets separately for $16 apiece!

This blade does a good job, had written a bad review, however the defect was in the Cuisinart motor which had been bought a year back causing a lot of vibration, this model of cuisinart has been discontinued

I ordered this to replace a cracked base on my current blender. This was a perfect replacement.

The nut came off during normal use and was found in a glass of smoothie that was made. Upon an inspection, found that the blades were badly damaged. No chips or cracks found on glass blender canister upon a quick inspection. After the glass canister for our Cuisinart CB-18 series blender was washed, we did find two nicks in the glass. Only sand pebble sized glass would have been in the smoothies.

Believe the other reviews and pictures. Same thing happened to me and fell apart in less than 2 weeks. Total junk, do not buy and look elsewhere.

Happy to save my old blender that was gifted to me by my late grandmother with one simple piece!

My daughter tried making a smoothie for the first time since replacing the original blade with this product amd the nut that secures the blades flew off and hit the side of the pitcher so hard that a large chunk of glass and smaller shards flew off at the base of the handle and cracked through the side of the pitcher. So now we need to buy a new glass pitcher. If you buy this replacement blade, double check that the nut is tight enough before first use, or you may find yourself without a useable blender or needing a new pitcher like me.

I ignored the other reviews. Don’t be like me, this is pure junk and a hazard and should be removed from Amazon promptly. Like many other 1-star reviews the acorn nut that retains the whole assembly came off after 3 uses. I don’t know where it ended up but hopefully it just got washed down the sink drain. Very dangerous do not buy. The manufacturer of this is clearly negligent as the single piece of assembly that requires any sort of conscious effort to install and hold the hold the blades together is not torqued to a modicum of the appropriate amount. Do not buy!!! Update: found the acorn nut in my baby’s food.
