Feels great in the hand and is slip-resistant. Passed the paper test on all parts of the knife including the gut-hook, as expected. It has a nice edge and can also shave hair off the arm. The weight and size feels great to me. I love the high visibility orange, makes it easier to find and handle in low light situations. I also like the predrilled hole on the handle and I will likely put some paracord through it to avoid loosing it overboard on a boat, etc.The steel is S35VN and is better than the similar Buck knife that costs $70; it keeps a very sharp edge and is easy to hone. I'd recommend also buying some sort of ceramic rod to hone the edge after use.Plus you have to love the lifetime warranty and that it’s made in the USA!This would make a great quality gift to any outdoorsman.

My wife and kids surprised me with this for my birthday. I love it and it’s kept its edge so good I’m still cutting myself when I look at it. lol great nonslip handle when it’s wet keeps it in perfect control.

You get what you pay for. For the price you would not beat these knives. Feels great in the hands. Made in the USA also has a gut hook. Very well built knife. To all the bow hunters. Deer hunters. Whatever game you hunt. Especially bigger game like Whitetail deer. This knife is a must have. Also Garenteed life time warranty. Unless of course you abuse it on purpose or modify it. Other than that. This knife is a must have! I am telling you! And any company that backs up there products is a HUGE plus if you ask me! Only one thing i would say. If you need a knife for like rabbit or squirl i would maybe go with a smaller size. Fixed blade very strong knife and the case is well made with a belt loop!

I ordered a buck because of their reputation I was not disappointed. Arrived sharp and is still sharp. It’s the perfect length for me definitely what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend

I know this isn't exactly a high-end knife by any means, but I did trust the Buck name would at least deliver a knife I could use out of the box for deer hunting. Maybe I got knock-offs? That might be the only reasonable explanation for how bad these blades look. The quality of the blade looks like Helen Keller was in put in charge of QA. I'll likely be sending one of the two back, as it looks absolutely awful, and I'll have to spend some time sharpening the other one before opening weekend. I've bought nicer looking knives from discount stores that rhyme with Garbor Weight. Honestly, I would have expected this out of the $20 no-name knives, but maybe things just aren't made like they used to be.
