Speedo Competition II Kickboard

I'm a beginner swimmer and decided to give this kickboard a try to at least work on my kicking during practice sessions. This kickboard definitely has enough buoyancy when used properly. It's also a more streamlined design than the traditional kickboard, but is small enough to fit into a swim mesh bag. The construction is EVA foam, similar to what is used in the soles of running sneakers. It is quite thick and I feel the construction is sturdy enough to withstand extensive use as long as it isn't abused. As a runner that is starting to swim, I still find it hard to make my kicks efficient enough to propel forward. So I have started using Finis Zoomer Z2 fins to at least improve ankle flexibility and feel of the water and work on my leg muscles at the same time.Overall: 5/5 stars, great construction and design, easy to use, compact shape that fits into a swim mesh bag.

I purchased a blue Speedo Kickboard a couple of years ago. I find it to be the right size shape and fit and it does a good job. With that said, after a while the blue dye comes off onto your skin and clothing. Just a mess. It cleans up OK with soap and water, but clearly not worth the effort. I keep on rubbing it with a cloth and flushing it with water. The blue dye just keeps on coming. I liked it at first. Today, I am tossing it in the trash.

From the moment I saw this board, I knew I was going to love it! It has a perfect ergonomic shape that cuts through the water and allows me do proper kicking drills. Cause of the shape and handles, they are various ways of alternating your kicking styles. Some people complain about it having a strong smell in the beginning. Makes sense since its new. But after a while the smell goes away. Just make sure to rinse it in fresh clean water after every swim to get rid of the Chlorine and dry with a towel and store somewhere where the sunlight won't damage it. I personally store mine in a closet or on a corner in my bathroom. I highly recommend this kick board! It is comfortable and looks professional! Definitely an eye turner at any swimming pool.

I am trying to lose weight and decided to add swimming to my fitness regime. I can swim fine but I don't like to put my face in the water. I use this kickboard as I swim and it is perfect! I use the handles to pull the board toward my chest and then away to get a workout on my arms as I kick up and down the lanes of the indoor pool at my gym. I also take it when I travel to use in the hotel pools. I would highly recommend!

I love this kicking board! It is not only sporty and pretty, but the handles on the side give it real versatility to grip in on the side or at the front. I feel the design is also more hydro dynamic then boards that are just round at the tip. It definitely has the "cool" factor when kicking up and down the lanes.

I have yet to anyone not liking this product. It is great for beginners, it is great to hold onto it when you are teaching your kids or simply have fun with it. Quality is superb, light durable and easy to use. Well worth the price.

I ordered this kickboard to help me rehab in the pool after 4 cervical spine fusions in under a year, and it's great! It helps support my upper body while doing laps, and it's easy to adjust grip for different kicks or as needed if a position isn't comfortable. The hand cutouts are well placed & the shape at the bottom of the board allows me to place it behind my head to give support while doing a modified backstroke (with hands gripping the board behind me rather than cutting through the water).This board is well made, so I expect it to last a long time, even with near daily use, and I will happily buy another should anything happen to it.

This is your basic kickboard for adult swimming. It is made of fairly sturdy foam, so it's good for focusing in on your lower body in the pool. The handles are comfortable for use, or you can grab onto the top of the board to support your upper body a bit more.
