Guess it's like ink. Consumables. Over time, you pay more for the string than the weed-eater costs. It's nice that you get a three-pack, but they go pretty fast if you have any fence or hard surfaces to chew up the line.On the plus side, they drop right in and work great. Often times I have to manually advance the string by pulling on it, but that's a weed eater problem, I think.

Hard to find locally. These worked great.

I bought some of the off-brand reels and ended up having to rewind the string onto an actual Craftsman reel I still had. These simply drop in and work. They're not the cheapest solution, just the best. No more fake copies for me.

This is a twine and is thicker than my previous trimmer. I went 12 cuts total on two properties before I had to swap it out.
