I had a plastic tap connector for couple years which used to always leak and the hose would disconnect under high water pressure. I got used to the notion of fixing back the hose every now and then. However with this connector the hose connection to the tap is rock solid with no water leak at all. Can vouch for the quality.

There have been some other reviews claiming poor quality on these, it is not my experience, and I am likely to purchase more (already purchased 2). The system I have tested on is pressurised at 8bar, and have had no issues with these coming apart. What is important to note, is that brass connectors are different to the 'cheapo' plastic connectors sold by many brands (well known). Instead of there being a plastic clip, there is a metal ball bearing. This means that when engaging the two parts, you need to pull back the 'release shroud', insert, then release the shroud, otherwise you do not get a good connection (with the plastic springs you can get away with just pushing together). If not properly connected, then yes brass ones will just fly apart as only about 30% of the mechanism is attached. Once properly connected, these didn't budge at all, even given some significant man-handling. Another comment was on the plastic grip when attaching it to a hose. I have attached these to a couple of different hose types, both a hard and soft. Again, fully unscrew the end, put the nut and collar over the hose, push the hose in, AND THEN push the collar up to the connector, before trying to tighten the nut. Otherwise I found the collar bit the hose and stopped the nut from screwing in. Once done correctly the connection withstood some significant tugging.

This was a perfect solution for us to run the warm water in to our hot tub from bathroom tap. It’s super easy to use it has a quality connection to the hose end. Comes with everything we need for the task we wanted it for. It was great value. The water pressure didn’t change much and filled hot tub with warm water in no time. Just make sure you use correct washers between fitting and tap. These washers are little rubber fittings.

Great product great pricing and they have stopped my hose leaking like a broken dam so thank you for a great product.

Just the ticket == brass fittings perfect for outdoor tap use (unlike the plastic rubbish that came with the hose from a well known "DIY" garden center and cracked after the first summer). What's more, the 'snap plug' end fitted the hose 'socket' end perfectly ! Well recommended !

Fell apart after a few uses

The rubber gasket is loose and the 0.5 inch tap keeps slipping and leaking. Money wasted.

After spending my life savings on a million plastic tap fittings I tried this brass set up. All set up in five minutes and no leaks! Brilliant. the two pieces join together in a more secure way by physically moving the female collar upwards but once together its a very firm joint. So far so very good!
