Magnate 2704 Surface Planing (Bottom Cleaning) Router Bit - 1-1/4" Cutting Diameter

Best unit that I have found at a reasonable price. Our shop goes thru these types of tools very fast. This is the best I have found. Highly reccomended

i purchased this bit for use with a profiling jig, and it works as advertised. good value, good quality cuts, just what i was looking for. remember to cut lenthwise along the jig, not across. it will leave pass marks when taveling across the profile, but none when traveling the length of the profile. if the outer corners were slightly radiused it would make for good cross profiling, but a minor complaint, and the reason for 4 out of 5 stars.

I've purchased about 20 Magnate bits so far, and IF they wear out I'll buy more of them. The quality of tool that you get for the dollar is fantastic. The Bits ship quickly, and arrive in great shape. The planing bits do a fantastic job, and leave a silky smooth finish. I've got the 1-1/4 inch planer now, and plan on buying the 3/4 inch planer as well. I've run a lot of hard maple with these bits, and have had no problems.I would wish that shipping costs could be a little lower, I've had to order just one bit and had the shipping cost more than the bit.... But still, in the long run they're worth every penny.

I am very pleased with the bit. Works well for surface planing.
