Gets the job done.
Follow instructions and check where they work the best for your application before applying. This does the job the manufacturers should've done! I was tired of having dust, dirt AND water in the back under my tonneau cover. Now I'm good!

Perfect for the Job at Hand
Perfect fill for sealing the tailgate gap on my 2019 Nissan Frontier. Great glue on the adhesive strip. Plenty of material to do the job.

Works as advertised
I found a need for this product after installing a flip-type bed cover on my Toyota Tacoma. My old Chevrolet Colorado had a Swiss lift-up cover that overlapped the tailgate and both rails, and in eleven years of service never allowed water into the bed. The flip-type covers do very well but are not water tight. If they are the kind like I have which do not overlap the tailgate, water can readily leak in around the tailgate because manufacturers do not apply door seal around it. This product alleviates this deficiency, which as a side note I think truck makers should be fixing. The seller provides the sealing material and everything needed to do a good install. In reading the reviews of those unsatisfied with the product, they seem to fall into two categories: either the product didn't adhere and therefore didn't work, or else there wasn't enough material to do the customer's truck. I believe that most of the cases in which the sealer doesn't seem to adhere or seal are due to customer error in not scrupulously following the directions. The seller is quite clear about the need to thoroughly clean the area where the sealer is to be applied with soap and water, and then after that the area also needs to be cleaned with alcohol. The seller even includes an alcohol towelette to be used for that purpose. Then, after the product is cut to the correct size as shown in the photo spread provided for each of about 15 or 16 trucks -- pick yours -- and is correctly positioned as per the testing described in detail in the instructions, the key step is to FIRMLY press the sealer adhesive onto the truck and give it some time, up to 24 hours, to cure. For measure-once-cut-twice type people this is not going to work, and I suggest such buyers find an automotive repair shop or truck supply house to do the install for them. But in the second case of insufficient material I believe that these customers might have a point, and this is why I only give four stars. In buying my Tacoma I found out that "small" trucks like my old Colorado have had growing pains in the past decade. Today's Colorado is larger than the Silverado was 10 years ago. Most of the folks complaining about material shortage have large-format trucks: F-150, Silverado or Tundra. I believe that perhaps trucks have gotten larger since this seller began marketing and that it is possible that an extra foot or two of sealer is needed for these larger truck models. If the cost of the material is too high to just throw another foot or two in then perhaps a "big truck" product at a few dollars more would fill the bill. In any case I urge the seller to re-examine whether ten feet is really enough for all larger models. I have no complaints after several weeks and many rainy days. This product effectively seals the tailgate area from water leakage even during heavy rain, and the installation documentation, both written and especially the model-by-model photos available on the seller's website, are outstanding. Recommended!

Works w standard ram tailgate
This product worked perfect for my 2017 ram 1500 standard tail gate . Had it installed in 20 minutes super easy . 100% sealed from moisture and dust . Pre fit a small piece first to verify location left / right to fill in gap then install . Larger pieces used for upper corners cut to fit . I also cut small pieces for minor gap at bottom of tailgate . Highly recommend - ps glue is very strong

DIY Puzzle Seal
You are pretty much on your own to figure it out. The instructions are convoluted and offer little certainty. Videos are mixed between guys who do not know what they are doing and big heads blocking your view. Figure it out yourself. The seal material is very good. Kit? It’s just a roll of bulb gasket.

It does what it's supposed to
Let me get my first and only complaint out of the way early, the directions are instructions showing how to install this on a Gen 5 Ram 1500 pickup truck? They suck, they are absurd, it took a whole lot of thinking and double guessing to get it all figured out. If they provided great written instructions with good pictures showing how to correctly or properly install this onto my pickup, there would be zero complaints and total elation. Now that the seal kit has been installed, I couldn't be happier, I went through the car wash four different times in a row because I have an unlimited membership, do you know not even a drop of water got through the tailgate and into the bed of the truck. That was the first test. The biggest test was yet to come, I drive down the dustiest roads anyone has ever seen fairly regularly, the 5th gen Ram 1500 is notorious for gaps and large leaky spaces all around the tailgate against the bed of the truck. For some reason this pickup truck was designed with absolutely no seals of any kind between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. After installing this seal kit, it works much better than advertised, as far as I'm concerned it's more than I wanted, I drove down those Dusty roads just the other day, and there was no dust in the bed of my pickup truck. Before I installed this seal kit, just one short drive down a Dusty road? And my entire bed of my truck would become filled with dust. All surfaces inside the bed of the truck would become covered in dust. Including anything that I was carrying back there. You talk about a big mess and what a pain in the butt. I'm very happy I made this purchase, I do wish the instructions were what they should be

Tailgate Seal
It took me the better part of a day to get this installed. No problem. It seems to be quality material with a strong adhesive. I sleep in my truck down by the river and this keeps the bugs at bay. All the pretty mermaids appreciate the tight fit. No dust and all…

Sealed tailgate
So far, it's great! When tailgate and camper shell are closed no outside light is visible in location of seal placement. Hasn't been taken out on any dirt roads or been in any rainstorms as yet. Written instructions, see photos, helped immensely. Even with these there are some minor adjustments needed. As long as you follow the guideline of not applying too much pressure immediately, these are easily done. Time will tell how durable the seal will be. Specifically on the bottom of the truck bed. If you look at pictures you can see the ridge and you have to place the seal below it. I can already see that the friction of opening and closing could be an issue. The fit good if you take your time to measure and cut. Again, following the instructions. The adhesive is solid once you finish placement, adjustments and then applying the appropriate pressure.

Best yet for the job
Very pleased with initial results. This is the best stuff i have used yet. Time will tell if the adhesive will hold but the design and thickness of the foam rubber creates a good seal. I did use additional "magic tape" also bought off Amazon to ensure the strips of foam stuck down. This was to ensure dust doesn't get sucked in through the tail gate into my truck bed when covered by a canopy.

Hope it works.
Have not got the pickup yet, getting things ready for when it is here. Done some research and they say this profile is good. I do hope so as I need a totally dry pickup bed.
