This dog bed would be completely perfect, if only it were bigger. I was heartbroken that it was WAY too small for my 32-pound Pharoah-Jack. Before I ordered, I checked the measurements, the photos online, descriptions, and read all the reviews. Based on all this, I was sure it would be a perfect fit for my dog, especially since some reviewers said their beagles fit comfortably and 2 small dogs at once, etc. I didn't want to get another giant bed (she already has one downstairs), because (1) I wanted it to fit in my ofc; and (2) my girl likes to curl up in her beds. So I thought it would be fine as what I assumed was a medium-sized bed. But it's VERY small--way too small for my dog to fit into, even curled up. (She tried, bless her heart.) But, apart from the small size, it's a TERRIFIC bed! Very well-made; looks durable; is very posh-cushy, soft and comfy. I mean, if feels SO inviting I almost wanted to crawl into it. And the color is exactly as it was presented in the photo (which would be perfect for my ofc). The zippers (on hood and also on inner cushion) all work great and are high-quality construction. Love that the cushion cover is removable for washing, and the hood is also removable. I loved the bed SO much that it actually hurt to have to return it. I mean, I wanted SO much for it to fit and knew my dog would adore it and spend much time there if it had only fit. I even searched online to see if I could find the same bed in a bigger size, but apparently it only comes in this size. Sigh. Sniff, sniff. At any rate, if you have a SMALL dog (or cat), this bed would be wonderful for them. But I wouldn't recommend it it they're over 20 lbs or have a big/long body. I'd guess the measurements listed are for the outside. The inner cushion where dog lies is considerably smaller (measures 13"x17", though may be able to add an extra inch by spreading, or a couple more if dog doesn't mind lying on the bolster edges). I'd have given it 5 Stars if it had been big enough. It's a lovely bed; just way smaller than presented.

My two burrowing dogs love it, and it seems to be well-made for the price. The top zips off for easy washing. I haven't washed it yet, but I will update this review after it has been washed a few times. I gave it only four stars because the pillow could be thicker. However, in fairness, I don't think very many dog beds are thick enough. If you press down on them your hand will almost touch the floor -- not fluffy. I got a huge dog bed from Costco and it stayed thick for a couple of years so I know it can be done. You might not think to test the fluffiness of your dog's bed, but many of them look fluffy when they are really kind of thin. You've got to press down to be sure. I would spend the bucks for a thick, plush dog bed. In fact, I would buy several of them as we have five dogs. In lieu of finding a thick dog bed, I may buy another one of these and just put a pillow inside it when the bottom goes completely flat, which I think it will sooner than later. Our two burrowing dogs like it and I think they'd rather not have to share.UPDATE: I've washed this about 4 times and it is holding up. The top will still stay up and it comes off and back on easily. I have put a blanket in the bottom to add softness. My dogs like to burrow in it so it is working. I need another one, but I'm going to check eBay for a softer one. I did find a much larger one on eBay that my dogs like. I'll look for a smaller one. If I can't find a good one, I'll buy this one again.

Very impressed with this bed! Firstly, it shipped very fast - I had it in 2 days, w/o additional shipping charges. Secondly, the material is super soft on the inside, the pillow is fluffy and removable, and the hood stands up perfectly. There is no issue with the wiring that holds up the hood on mine, it was packed well, did not get crushed in shipping, and stood right up out of the box. The zippers around the hood for removal should make it easy to clean. I got the tan color and it is really pretty including the design - the picture doesn't do this product justice, it's much nicer looking in person. It's also really roomy and the hood doesn't negatively impact the interior space of the bed. I can't wait to see how my new "baby" likes it, but she won't be here until later this week. I'll update the review once the bed is in use.UPDATE: My new little arrival, a 10lb little girl, loves this bed and has lots of room to spare while in it. She loves cuddling up along the back, under the hood, for long naps...she's in there as I am writing this. I hide little treats around the corners and under the pillow as a game for her to find them. Lots of fun for her, she works off a little energy, and it keeps her occupied from bothering the human stuff in the house. Occasionally she crawls all over the top, or tosses the whole thing around, but all I have to do is stand it up again and it's back to good as new. It also cleans up very nicely, she has a little seepage from her spay stitches (back to vet tomorrow to check on that) and it easily wiped clean with just baby wipes. I'll also try to add pics which I always find helpful from other customers!

Me gusto la calidad del producto, es muy suave y bien hecha. La capucha es fácil de quitar , ya que el cierre funciona bien. Y fue lo que llamo mi atención, ya que puede ser de verano y cuando llegue el invierno ponerle su capucha y sienta mas proteccion del frio.. Lo segundo mas importante es que mi gato la aceptara, y lo hizo. Es el tamaño perfecto para una mascota pequeña o mediana. Sea perro o gato o conejo porque no, es muy buena compra.

My cat was wary of it at first. So I sprinkled a tiny bit of catnip on the pillow. He went in, made some bread, and settled right in. He sleeps in it every night now. He seems to love the "cave" and curls up in the back. You have to fluff up the pillow once in a while. I might put a folded towel under the back where he sleeps mostly, just to give it some substance and so it doesn't flatten out and he ends up sleeping on the hard floor underneath. I haven't had a problem with the hood falling in. It is a bit mushed on one side, but I folded it in the opposite direction, held it for a moment, and it seemed to straighten out and become cave-like again. It offers really good shelter against drafts, and makes the cat feel protected and cozy.

Buyer beware - The bed itself was fine and decent quality, however the sizing was misleading. The sizing was based on the most puffed-out point on the outer side to the most puffed-out point of the other side. Basically, the sizing was based on absolute best-case scenario. As soon as the stuffing becomes compressed or distorted in anyway, the bed becomes smaller.We found that my dog really was only able to fit in it by curling up - not ideal for movement as she sleeps. Naturally she lost interest in it very quickly.

These beds are not well made. The idea is great but the hoods do not stay up. Not even after one day the zipper for the hood did not work. Also the sizing is wrong

I think is better for cats and little puppy..
