VERY impressed (coming from a pro videographer)
I work with professional gimbals & cameras on a regular basis, but when I needed something small and light to toss in a bag for play time with my kids, this gimbal came highly recommended - and it delivers. The build quality is quite high (you may see complaints about it being made out of plastic, but I don't see a problem with that - its very thick, strong plastic, with a rubberized grip in just the right place), it balances very easily, and stays that way even during heavy use (as in, chasing kids up and down playground equipment or down a sledding hill). Best feature: It sounds like such a simple thing, but the "trigger finger" button double-click to re-center is GENIUS. Worst feature: Turning while angling the gimbal up or down reaches limits pretty fast, causing the camera to snap to a different orientation suddenly. A bit of practice can correct for this, and someone not used to better equipment may not even notice it. I mostly use it in follow mode, and it does a great job of smoothing out walking shots, jogging shots, and following motion up and down. I use an iPhone X, and have had no problems with fit or balance. I have used the app a little (mostly just to update the firmware), but I wouldn't write any kind of review about that here (check out the reviews on the app store). It did connect flawlessly with my phone and work properly, which is nice. In short, if you need an inexpensive phone gimbal that actually works, you can't go wrong with this one!

Cuts editing time down, easier to carry than a DSLR + stabilizer
I love this! The stabilizer is light, easy to set up, and serves its purpose. Because iPhones (and many other phones) have 4K, I actually try to use this as much as possible. My Canon 5d Mark IV and 6D Mark II are extremely bulky to carry around. I have a stabilizer for those as well... However, with iPhone 4K video, I try to use this as much as possible, and use my Canons for close up shots where I want that low f-stop. This is extremely nice when you're filming an event and are running around all over the place. It's cut my editing time down a ton, and I like how I can easily AirDrop the videos from my phone straight to my MacBook without fiddling with a memory card, adapters, etc. It comes with a really nice hard-case to travel with, but this would be fine sticking in a backpack if you're traveling as well! I haven't been on a trip with it yet, but I know I'll grab this over my bulky DSLR stabilizers! I've given it several hours of use thus far and haven't had to charge it yet. Highly recommend! Great for beginners, but also great for those who have been in the game and need something light and easy to use. Don't be scared to use your iPhone!

Not great for a breezy day, but exceptional other times!
I've waited to write my review until I had fully tested it in all conditions. I've owned it for almost a year now. I use it with my LG G8X (single phone, will not work with dual screen). The phone fits perfectly with the case off. It doesn't quite balance with the Spigen phone case I use. Pros- Image stabilization! -I've tested it running, walking, and even standing still. It stays smooth and gets rid of a majority of the jitter you get when you take steps. Weight! -It is heavy enough to keep everything stable, but not so heavy that it wears your arm out if you film for hours on it! (And yes you can film for hours on a single charge!) Battery Life! -I've had it for almost a year and have charged it maybe 10 times. I use it between 30 minutes to 2 hours at a time, about every other week. It doesn't even take that long to charge either! Mounts! -The mini table top tripod is great for doing "talking head" videos. It is also great for a little extra hand holding space if you want to hold with both hands for added stability or security. -Having the standard tripod mount point on the bottom allows for using a mount bracket extension bar. I have my Neewer CM14 shotgun mic mounted on one side of the extension and the gimbal to the other. Then put the table tripod on the bottom for an excellent table/counter top setup for videos, or you can walk and talk with it! The app! -It has great tune-ability for the gimbal. You can adjust the speed it tilts and turns. You can invert the thumbstick to change the direction it moves when pressing it different ways. There are a few other settings that you can adjust as well, if you want to dive deep in and thoroughly investigate this thing! --CONS-- The app -Yup! It is both a pro and a con! -The camera on the app is garbage. It might work for some people, but it lowers the quality quite a lot! While it does auto zooms to avoid seeing the gimbal in the corner of the image, my standard lens in my normal camera mode avoids it and has a lot better image. Having the tune-ability of the stock camera app for custom ISO, Exposure, Color correction, etc is far better than the hohem app. Not good for breezy/windy outside filming -The stabilizer moves itself to try and correct for the wind and ends turning itself all the way. ------------ Long story short, it is a great gimbal with amazing stabilization for far less than you'd pay for a DJI or other name brand! Would I recommend this to others? YES! I gave it 4 stars! It would have a 5 star if it weren't for the wind correcting and the terrible camera in the app! So if you are hesitant on buying this gimbal, DON'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND! Click the add to cart or buy now button!

Better Manual needed.
I was immediately drawn in by the advert and decided to purchase, but I’m still not fully confident using it. The 27-minute YouTube video is very helpful, yet the manual included in the package is seriously lacking in detail and needs significant improvement. The promotional video is captivating and sells the product well, but it makes balancing and operation appear much easier than it actually is in practice. That said, I genuinely love the feel of the product and what it enables you to do overall.

Looks cool but functions horribly, struggles to hold iPhone 13 Pro Max w/case
BLUFF: good initiative, bad execution. The overall functionality is spotty at best, and device is not designed to hold a larger phone/phone in a case. (It will, but is the price of your phone worth trusting it?) After looking at countless reviews, online and trying to make a determination of which company/brand would be the best to go with I went with this one, and needless to say it’s been returned. When I got it, I was ecstatic and went through and download the software and make sure it was charged all the way up just like you should do with any type of electric device, etc. Next I looked through the packaging multiple times to see if I was missing something, because unless you are rocking an iPhone 3 with no case or a smart phone with no case, then good luck trying to get this to hold your phone. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max in an OtterBox case and have to force it between the two rubber teeth or expanding grips if you want to call them that that for it to attempt to hold my phone in place. When I finally could get the unit to hold my phone/case in place, and for it to stabilize, it would randomly work, and other times it would start beeping at me, then shut off with my phone just falling or drooping, and hitting the frame of the gimbal itself for Some unknown reason. I’m sure for some people. This thing has been great unfortunately for me that wasn’t the case. Hope this review helps someone looking. Pros: - Looks cool - Well packaged - Can use the USB-A port to charge a device - Easy software/app to download - Feels well-made, not flimsy like it’s about to fall apart in your hands - Comes with USB-C charging cord, short - Comes in/with a nice carrying case Cons: - Expanding teeth that hold phone are WAY to small - Two different apps for this brand, one does nothing - Easy software/app is confusing and the tutorials don’t seem to be aimed at a new user - Gimbal constantly goes crazy & powers down, dropping your phone all over the place - Comes with no instructions, QR code that’s for app - Does not function as it should at all, hit or miss and more miss then anything - Warranty period is way to short

Not a great option for a Samsung Note 8
So I had a few issues with this while using my Note 8. First and the ultimate reason i returned this product is because the motionlapse function did not work correctly. There were 2 issues with the motionlapse, first was that software wasnt controlling the camera so it was taking video rather than timelapse pictures. Now I know that most gimbals on the market arent fully compatible with Android phones and in actuality I preferred the motion-video over timelapse... however in addition to the software issue there was also a hardware issue as the motion wasnt smooth and would often have a very noticeable studder in motion. Also in regards to the Note 8, it doesnt truly balance correctly and would imagine that this might be the case for most Note phones... the stylus throws off the balance in the phone. I attempted to offset the mount as much as I could but even fully pushed to one side it wouldnt balance. Also with the mount in this position the gimbal would start to rub against itself while in some positions. I also tried the mount with my Galaxy S7 and the Balancing was super easy with plenty of clearance... however the motionlapse function was still not smooth and the software issue was even worse as the video was a locked single frame for the entire length of the clip. Beyond those few issues the function of the gimbal software and size compatibility, the product appeared to be great. If I wasnt specifically looking to use the motionlapse feature specifically, i would have had no problem overlooking the rest.

Good quality gimble
I was in search of a gimbal to assist in stabilizing shaky movements when capturing motion shots. Since I don't record frequently, I didn't want to spend a fortune, but I still desired a reliable and well-crafted product. I had been eyeing the Hohem Isteady mobile plus gimbal for a while and finally decided to make the purchase when it went on sale on Amazon. Thus far, I am satisfied with my decision. The gimbal feels like it is made of high-quality materials and the motors that control the axis operate smoothly. The controls are conveniently located for easy access with my thumb, allowing for effortless one-handed operation. The software that I downloaded was simple to set up and use, although mastering all the offered features may require some time. I was so impressed with this gimbal that I recently bought a Hohem tabletop version to track my movements while recording self-videos. I highly recommend this well-made, moderately-priced gimbal to anyone in search of one.

Works well enough with iPhone 11 Pro Max
I really like this gimbal and am glad I made the purchase. It takes the footage from my iPhone 11 Pro Max to the next level... no more shaky video. The gimbal itself is lightweight and easy to transport. Setup was straightforward and basically came down to attaching my phone and turning the gimbal on. With that said... I don't believe the gimbal is designed to support the size/weight of the new iPhone 11 Pro Max, but the gimbal can/will operate with the phone without any issues that I've noticed. Since the 11 Pro Max is fairly wide I have to adjust the phone holding portion of the gimbal to be a bit higher so it doesn't come into contact with the other gimbal arm as the phone moves. The phone won't fully balance for the initial setup, from what I've experienced, in landscape view but the gimbal does a great job compensating. There is a slight forward lean to the phone before powering on the gimbal but once the gimbal is turned on the phone will adjust to the correct position. I haven't noticed any overworking of the motors and the gimbal stays silent as I record. For the price of the gimbal I've been very happy with the results. The image is very stable, even while I skateboard along side my friends and record. The battery life of the gimbal lasts quite a while, as I've been using it for a few hours at a time without any issue or worry that it may die. The only modification I've made is to use a larger fold out stand since the one that comes with the gimbal is small so I am using a fold out stand with longer legs for more stability. Overall I am happy with the purchase. For the price, quality and image stability I think it's a great deal. I've recommended the gimbal to friends. Having the gimbal takes my footage to the next level.
