I use a lot of A5 size notebooks and have gone through various brands over the years.As a fountain pen user, I often find that the paper permits bleed through even in some quality branded notebooks.This Clarefontaine notebook is excellent. Good quality white paper. No bleed through, and I can write comfortably on both sides of each page without concern.This version is thicker, with a larger number of pages, but still fits well in a Bellroy work folio.Will be ordering again

I was NOT aware this was a reconditioned product! Snd that explains the poor state they where in .The Product is as described - A4 and blank pages sadly however both books arrived damaged I’m very upset about this as they are a special gift for a special project and really they are not fit for that purpose now. for the price I would’ve expected a clean product in good shape.There are three stickers in the back of the book and the two of the company csme off lovely but the Amazon reconditioned sticker did not remove without ripping the page.Apart from all the damage, the product is a little bit more flimsy on the outside covers then I expected but the paper inside is clean and good quality. The product id give 4 stars Amazon for the not handling things well 2.

These notes pads are wonderful! Perhaps the smoothest writing surface I have ever experienced. Perfect for fountain pens.

The binding is firm, and the paper is nice and smooth.

Overpriced. Was recommended as best paper for use with fountain pens. Still smudges.

I purchased this after having used many of the thinner A4 lined Age Bag notebooks. Unlike those, this did not have page margins. This version is otherwise as good quality as other Age Bag notebooks.

Es ist gar nicht so leicht, geeignetes Papier fuer Tinte/Fuellfedern zu finden. Feathering und Bleedthrough sind Aergernisse, die mit der Verwendung von Fuellfedern einhergehen.Dieses A5 Heft erfuellt uebers Minimum hinaus Wunsch-Kriterien, wie- no feathering und no bleedthrough- Deckblatt laesst sich ganz oeffnen und wieder gut schliessen (klappt nicht wieder auf)es kommt mir aber kleiner wie A5 vor.Ich hab' mir dieses Heft nun schon oefter gekauft und beschloss, mir diesmal die Zeit zu nehmen, es auch 'mal zu bewerten.

the Clairefontaine is wonderful. I had no idea that paper could make such a difference in your writing. The Notebook is paper is so smooth and takes up the ink marvellous, even fountain pen ink, which is notoriously absorbent and spreads all over. I will be never without a Clairfontaine again.
