Works perfect in 2004 Ford FreeSTAR (not Freestyle)
Amazon had the best price and quickest delivery for this pretty generic part that is not in stock at autoparts stores near me. Fixed the cruise control issue on my 2004 Ford Freestar minivan. The wiring harness is not needed for the Freestar so I threw it away, but the kit that includes the harness seems to be cheaper and more widely available than just the fluid pressure switch itself. Installs quickly and easily by one person and only needed a 7/8 wrench to remove and install. If installing yourself, you'll find advice all over the internet. If your car is a keeper, always pressure wash the master area or use brakleen before opening any brake fittings or cap. Easy, but just be sure to avoid allowing air into the fluid system or you'll need to bleed the brakes. It is easy to avoid that, just have all the things you need within easy reach and work as quickly as possible. As long as the reservoir stays pretty full, the risk of an air bubble is almost zero. I overfilled a bit to be safe, then drained it off to the "full" line by removing the new switch just for a second or two (holding it almost exactly in place to be quick). You do not need to remove the wiper deck cowl on the Freestar, but it is tight work. I removed only the air cleaner box. 3,000 miles and 6 weeks ago. Still 100%. 6 stars if that were possible. Please don't ask me if it fits your Ford "whatever" car. I only know it fits my freestar and that is the only ford I own. Thank you.

It works for now
Works fine. Removed the old assembly that was placed during the recall and it installed easily. Cruise works fine. Interested to see how it holds up months down the road but for the difference in cost between this and OEM it is worth taking a chance.

Just what my F-150 needed.
After 450 miles of unsuccessfully trying to have my Ford F-150 trucks onboard computer reset for smog test, this cruise control brake monitor and cable assembly fixed the problem. It only took less than 15 minutes to install new monitor and cable assembly and a 10 min trip on the freeway for all my trucks computer monitors to test okay and ready for smog test. It's important to point out that Ford apparently had some issues with the brake monitor catching fire and added an inline cable assembly with a 2 amp fuse to prevent the fire issue. PAY ATTENTION TO THIS NEXT PART. When replacing the new monitor and new cable harness, be sure to completely remove and discard the old cable harness the inline fuse. It's an ugly mess of cables with black tape and tie wraps to hold it in place. When you finish removing the entire old harness, replace with the new harness and use the new tie wrap that was included with your new replacement kit to secure in place. If you don't remove the old harness and only plug the new harness into the old harness, it may not work due defective cable ends and/or a blown fuse in the old assembly. I noticed the old harness replacement by watching a couple of online videos to troubleshoot my computer reset issues and saw the old harness being removed during the troubleshoot and new installation process. Last item. Be sure your master cylinder has the proper level of brake fluid. My old cruise control brake monitor that screws into the master cylinder was leaking brake fluid through the top where the cable connects to the monitor. Over time your fluid will fall below the needed amount a trigger a BRAKE light on the yoke panel. Usually, the yoke BRAKE light comes on when you apply your parking/E- brake. If Brake stays on when your E- brake is released, it's likely to be caused by low brake fluid or the trucks interior switch working with your E-Brake is not operating correctly. Either way, you will need to repair before your truck's computer will reset. Best of luck a share this info with other F150 truck owners.

Cruise control cutout switch
I didn't buy this thinking it was the wrong part for my 1999 Ford Expidition 5.4L V8. But after reaching online I found out that they dont make the original part anymore which is why you need to buy the sensor with the harness included. It worked and now I have my Cruise control back. And the price was great compared to other sellers on Amazon. Thanks!

2002 F150 cruise control brake switch with recall fuse holder .
Work after I put brake fluid in it. Won’t work if it has air in it. Also plug it in the recall fuse holder from Ford don’t discard.
