The difficulty surprised my husband and me, but all the little parts are painted and came together nicely. Thanks for keeping him occupied for hours!

It is great.

I'm about half way through building this, using Youtube videos to assist me because the instruction sheets are very basic. Part numbering on the spurs is all over the place and small parts (there are lots of them) are difficult to locate. I had to contact Airfix to replace one part that had melted during manufacture (To be fair the replacement arrived in threee days). It was via Youtube that I discovered there are actually two ways of putting the hull together (the instructions don't tell you that) and they both work but one is easier, gives a much better result and requires much less filler. On the interior detail the locating plugs don't fit the holes very well at times and they need cutting down or cutting off. The decals are OK but if you put them onto blue coloured paint they look really dull so best to paint white under where they will go (e.g. under the pretty stripes on the hull). I ended up hand painting the waterline. But having said all that, so far so good and what I've put together looks fine. Just be aware that if you want a good result in return for your money you are going to have to spend a long time building this one. Wet afternoon job it most certainly isn't. But hey it's Airfix... when was it any different?

This construction kit was a great trial as some of the parts were very small and quite difficult for someone with big hands but I persevered and finished it finally

Really enjoyed putting it together however a few peices of the railing for the front of the boat missing thats the only thing letting it down
