Great quality and perfect for practice!
**edit** I went from 4 to 5 stars. I thought my strop had a curve in the leather, until I realized I was twisting the strop with my hand. It takes some practice to properly strop a knife. One day I was shaving and my straight razor just wasn't cutting. Then I stropped 8 times vigorously on each side of the strop, (but with perfect technique-- I had a moment of clarity!) and my straight razor cut PERFECTLY. Suddenly I realized the strop is cheap, but perfect. My complaints were due to my inexperience. 10/10 would recommend. **end edit** Good starter strop. If you decide you're into shaving, you may want a bigger one. The leather is nice and thick with sturdy stitching and the metal hardware is good quality. ...I actually think it looks pretty nice too. It just hangs around and I don't even notice it. A strop is something that doesn't actually take up space because you're probably just going to keep it hung on a sturdy counter or something. It becomes a fixture. A tool, almost like a vice. Actually, mine hangs on my vice- bolted to my computer desk. Heh, it's a vice accessory.

This is a good strop, good quality and it was delivered quickly!
I ordered this to use to strop my knives with. The product that I received came to me rolled in a coil and it arrived without any flaws or issues in the leather surface. The length of the strop is 20 inches from the top of the leather to the end of the leather handle. One side of the strop is very light tanned leather and I will leave it that way as I already have a stropping board I made and one of the areas is coated with buffing compound. I will use this leather strop as a cleaning strop for the blades of my knife and the light tan side for the final polishing side of the strop. I use the suede side of the strop to clean my knife blades before the final stropping. The strop did not come with an eyelet ring but it has a looped hook for hanging and to be honest I like the hook I got better. The strop is 2 inches wide and I have no issues stropping my knives including my Spyderco Manix 2 Xl with a 3.88 long blade. The quality of the strop is excellent for the price and it works well. After a few minutes of work with my stropping tools my knives are razor sharp. I liked the strop so much I purchased another one for my son as a gift. This is a good product and I rated it 5 stars. It is good quality, it was delivered sooner than expected and the price is reasonable

Good Strop For The Price
(Review written by Robert Murphy) I have used it 4-5 times. Seems to be well made, and does the job. Looks pretty good. Not a huge strop, good for portable use.

The single strop is of higher quality than the three-pack strop, as of MAR 2017 ~ JUN 2017.
I work as a prep cook in a Japanese restaurant and I use this leather/suede strop to maintain our restaurant's 12 knives of various edge grinds (both asymmetrical, symmetrical, and convex-, concave- and wedge-type edge profiles). First, I use the darker side (rough suede) to conduct a preliminary cleaning/stropping of each knife (20x laps per 1.5" of each blade along the length, from heel to tip); then, I use the lighter side (smooth leather) to do a fine stropping of the blade to hone it to a keen edge (15x laps per 1.5" of each blade along the length, from heel to tip). I do this each night for 6x nights a week to maintain the edges of our knives (garasuki, honesuki, santoku, gyuto, cleavers and French-style kitchen knives) as long as possible before we have to use whetstones to re-grind and actually sharpen the edges. I'm quite happy with this product when I purchased only one (1x) instance of it in MAR 2017: the construction and fit-and-finish was quite good, and it seemed to be made in USA. The handle was comfortable to hold because the filling/padding of the handle was solid yet still soft to the touch. Overall construction and stitching seemed decent and durable (like in the current picture). However, when I recently purchased the 3-pack version a few months later in JUN 2017 (I'm teaching my kitchen staff how to strop/hone their own blades, so we need more strops), the quality of each strop was decidedly less so: each strop is shorter by 0.50"; the stitching seems less robust; the end-wrapping material is thinner and the cuts/edges are misaligned with the stitches; the handle is made of thinner synthetic material without any padding/stuffing. But despite all that, I was able to use one (1x) of these new strops to successfully service all 12 knives in one night, so perhaps my complaints about the new 3-pack are about merely cosmetic aspects. Nonetheless, this 5-star review is for the single-instance purchase of this product; if the seller could guarantee the better quality of this product similar to the one I received in MAR 2017, then I would definitely purchase it again.

Not for Ninja Mall Warrior Swords!
If you think you're going to strop your Ninja Mall Warrior swords, this strop is not for you. If you want to put a nice razor edge on knifes up to about 5 inches long (Longer once you've developed the technique) then this is an excellent choice. The actual working surface is 2 inches by 16 inches and is well made using very good materials. Some reviews state that it has a bent nail for a hook and that is true, however it is an 18d nail and is chromed and well shaped and much stronger than you may have been lead to believe. As a long time sharpener and collector of knives (over 60 years) I can say that this is a bargain for the price and when used properly and taken care of, will last just as long as strops costing 6 times as much, you just don't have as large a surface. What I do recommend is that you purchase an old leather belt to use with your polishing compound and then use your strop for the final cleaning and finished edge. After using the belt, I use the back (dark, rough side) of the strop to actually clean the blade and then use the lighter smooth side for final touch up. Woodstock D 2901 extra fine is a great compound to use. I also recomment you watch some Youtube videos and get a little practice in on an old cheap knife. You'll quickly get the hang of it and develope a little muscle memory in short order and sharpen your knives like the pros. Store your strop indoors in a cool dry place. Yep, I recommend it!

Good beginner strop
This strop is appropriate for a beginner. As a beginner, you're probably going to nick it a few times with your straight razor. Even if you're trailing the edge and rolling on the spine. This strop will produce okay results, without much worry of ruining a 50 to 300 dollar strop if you nick it. Having said that, mine came rolled up. This can damage strops as they develop creases which can affect your stropping or even damage your blade. A strop should be flat when taut. There are better strops with leather that is faaaar superior to this for only a marginally higher price. Okay strop to put in a travel bag.

Made of assortment of cheap materials but over all, it works wonder!!
This is my first strop and I have nothing to compare. It is made of mixture of natural and man-made materials. For the price, for its functionality, you can't beat it. It's not all made of leather(although it looks like it and fooled many people in here) and it's not a bad thing. Only leather used is one side of the strop(lighter color side), darker side is synthetic(I have to say it's a good material for the purpose). Both ends are made of synthetic leather, which makes no difference real leather or man-made. In a wet condition man-made probably is better. Hook is made of nickel plated nail, (yes, ordinary nail, even with a head to prove it) and it's functional. I just got this and I can't tell you about the durability just yet. Even if it starts coming apart in 3 months I will know what else to get from leaning by this and the price that won't make me regret. If it lasts, say for more than a few years with good result, I'll be glad to replace it with another of the same. I'd recommend it to anybody if the functionality is more important.than looks.

Good, but read this before you buy
First of all the product quality is pretty good, Iโll just lay that out, but there are two issues with it. Though the quality is generally good there was a slight defect on the strop. It looks like a slight cut or tear of some sort which may hold no bearing on the ability to restor the edge but it also might do exactly that. The second problem is that, and I am aware this is my error and that I should have looked at the dimensions; the belt is too narrow for the full length of the razor. So itโs more of a travel strop than anything and Iโd recommend a different choice. That is unless you need a compact travel strop. But I should point out there is a technique for striping a razor with this problem, YouTube it if your going to use one like this.

The item is quite good. Would say that it is probably more suited ...
The item is quite good. Would say that it is probably more suited for a barber shop kind of stuff than for what I bought it (Strop my kitchen knives), but it has worked quite well for me. I use one side (the one that has little hair) with some buffing compound Woodstock D2902 Extra Fine Buffing Compound, 1-Pound (Green) and the other one I keep it clean for the last few pass of the knife.

A Nice Portable Sized Strop
A quality premium strop that has so far served my daily carry fixed blade nice well. Still need to get some compound on the strop to work it to it's full potential... But a really quality build....
