We wanted a door chime that was not gimmicky or too homey sounding for a premium store, and this was a good choice. The store is relatively large and we can hear it clearly, including in the back storage room. If it was any louder, it would be too much especially for the customer. The simple magnetic chime device is reliable. Installation was not difficult with simple hand tools in our wooden door. My biggest gripe for it would be its relatively large size and the plasticky look. We are in a historic building, and it doesn't quite blend into the decor.

I have seen gray ones on the net but this listing isn't that color. The one I got is an almond color like a 40 year old beige color light switch cover. This thing would have been 5 stars if it was gray, like the brand new gray aluminum door it went on. Installation required drilling holes and the correct size drill bit was included. It came with extra screws and a bracket for different mounting options. This thing took less than 10 minutes to install and works great.

Pros:- Product is as advertisedCons:- Poor instructions, they really need to provide more than a vague and confusing drawing of a cross-section of the installed unit. I figured it out after carefully studying the instructions, but I could see how it would leave many people lost.- Although it says it's light gray, it's kind of a cream / off-white; would have preferred white or a true gray to match either the door or the door hardware

EZ-TONE Magnetic Door Chime  If you want to be sure to hear the bell when customers come through your door, this is the bell for you! We own a large sign printing shop in an industrial park, and the shop can get very loud when all three large format printers and other equipment are running. Yet this little door chime can be heard above it all, even from the very back of the shop. It's also great that there are no wires or batteries to contend with because it's completely manual, so it doesn't waste your electricity. Easy to install, only took about 15 minutes or so. Great purchase!

It works. I didn't use all the parts but I made it work. The instructions are super confusing so just take a minute and figure out what you're doing before you end up with 3 extra holes in your door. In the end it's a nice product for any restaurant/shop that is looking for something to let your employees know "put down your phone and greet the guests". I give it a B+

What's not to love about this product!?!?! I have gone through 6 sets of the plug-in and transmitter type door chimes @ $30 a pop, after the last one I searched for a different option! This operates free of an electrical source. This device uses a magnet and chime to give me exactly what I need - to know when the door has opened - every time! There is a 'slide' that can be used for times when you may not want to hear the chime, like nap time when you are expecting a delivery from Amazon:)
