I grew up watching and listening to Bob Wolff...a definite electronic friend, keeping everyone who was watching the game informed and entertained. His book is filled with stories from his pioneer TV days and college experience to many adventures along the way. This is a must read book for any youngster who wants to be a sportscaster and anyone who just wants to smile and say so that's what happens behind the scenes! I purchased a copy for all the sports fans in my life. The pictures were fantastic! Thank you Bob for all you have given to us over the years.

Bob Wolff did a great job with this book -- it's an approach that all young sportscasters should take to heart: get on the air by producing and selling your show! He then goes on to show how he did just that -- his work has truly stood up - going back to the 1930's. He's done virtually every sport one can imagine, and has been outstanding at both play-by-play and hosting on radio and TV (from its inception)!

Outstanding, interesting and amusing dissertation from the most experienced broadcaster in the country. Required reading for all who aspire to become, or becoming better, sportscasters. After reading this book, then read it again.

As a broadcaster, I found the book contains valuable information and is very interesting. Even someone who doesn't have ties to the field will enjoy it, as Bob shares plenty of memories from his seven decades of experience. He is centered in NYC, so anyone in that region will understand some of his references more than those living outside the area.
