Pros: 1. I checked the accuracy of the scale against my current one. The readings from both are very close. I don't have any standard weights to use for calibration. 2. The readings from the LED display are pretty big and very easy to read under indoor lighting conditions. For outdoors, the numbers are still quite readable. 3. The battery mode is convenient. The provided power adapter is a plus if you want to save the batteries. 4. The weighing platform is big enough for a propane or freon tank which is very nice. 5. The scale doesn't look ugly, roughly-made, or cheap. Most is made of plastic. That is expected these days for a product in this price range. This is not a scientific instrument. Don't need it to last a life time. Cons: It does turn itself off after being on for a few minutes, which is quite annoying for my application. I need to constantly monitor the tank weight. I haven't checked the manual to see if there is a way to change that setting. I guess that feature is good for battery life. That is the only thing I don't like so far.

I purchased this as a replacement for my old postal scale, which I use mostly for baking. (you want a loaf to always be the same, use a scale, works every time) First thing I like about this scale is the remote display, I could never get a good view of the weight with my old scale, because the bowl was always hanging over and obscuring the view. So that's fixed! This scale is easy to use, and you can always see the display. It's also very accurate. What I don't like, if you piddle around too long the display turns off, rats, it needs to stay on much longer, or better, stay on till it's turned off. That's my only gripe, and why I put 4 stars in "easy to use" instead of 5. If the display stayed on it would be a perfect 5 stars across the board.

I went through a couple of scales until I found this one. I wish I had purchased this one first. The display is easy to read and it has all of the functions you would expect from a scale. While it is small in size, one of the first things I weighted was a 30lb laser printer. I put a box on the scale, zeroed it and then completed weighing it, worked perfectly. I like that you can move the display as needed. The first scale I bought had an integrated display, it looked really nice and sleek, which mean nothing when I weighed something that sat overtop of the display. This has worked great for both large and small items that I've been shipping over the last couple of months.

The Acteck digital postal scale is everything I need to be. It doesn't take up a great amount of space, it provides accurate readings, and if I need to mail an oversize package, I can actually see the readings because it has an extended cord that allows me to view the readings away from the scale. Great price, great quality. Recommend!

This scale works great. I use it a lot for shipping. Have shipped thousands of packages with this scale. I suggest it for anyone.

I've been using this model for years - mostly for shipping eBay items - and the weight measurements have always been spot-on. Unfortunately, the original one I purchased broke, so I sought out to replace it with the exact same scale. This unit is exactly the same in every way and works equally is well. I'm very happy with it.
