How To Draw Folds And Clothes: For the Extreme Beginner

I finally understand how to draw clothes folds; making drawing from my imagination a lot easier.

I bought this thinking it might be fun as a drawing exercise with the examples of folded, dropped piles of cloth. Instead I found some great lessons on how to draw / sketch/ shade such things as cloth and towels, clothing in folded groups and random heaps. But these are so naturally part of life's images, and therefore so important to add realism to a drawing. Great lessons! Great teacher! Thank you so much, Mr. Yanconsky!

Great book. Easy to follow. My only complaint is that the texture of the book covering is strange.

I am so happy to have found this book. I have been struggling with understanding the folds in clothes being worn but Liron has explained and illustrated them so well without going into the details of human anatomy (thank goodness!) . Now I know what to look out for when I observe subjects for drawing /painting. This book will continue to serve as a reference book for me for some time.

I just bought it a few days ago and currently I am learning the 7 basic folds.This book seems great and I can already draw a few of the basic folds. What I really look forward to is the part of drawing specific clothing items, since there really aren't many good books on that.Highly recommend it if you are a beginner or an intermediate artist like me.- Yulian

This is a tutorial on how to view and analyze folds in cloth. The author assumes his readers have some previous drawing experience, so you will not find step-by-step sketches here. You will find a well-thought-out presentation with many illustrations, leading the reader to a very useful way to look at the way cloth "behaves" in use.

Already was able to do folds and clothes,just need some extra help, this book has provided, 131 pages going through the different foldsand clothes, l found this book very useful.

It may actually help if the author could draw to a basic level, this book isnt worth the paper it's printed on I'd stick to a decent search engine to examine garments folds etc..I thought this be a refrence it's condemned to the recycling bin as I have no time for a refund.. amazon should allow us to at least flick some of the pages especially when it's their printed book
