This is just okay as the light is very sensitive which I guess is as it should be but the angle at which you hold it is very relevant and you must ensure that exactly where and hold you hold it is exactly where you cut. I have two black labradoodles with black nails so I need this to be able to trim as safely as possible. Design needs to be better to ensure better accuracy and less movement. I have cut too close a few times which pains me.

Do not cut as close as anticipated. Dogs claws are too long after cutting

I found them very dull. My dogs nails are not hard, they are easy to cut. I was hurting her trying to use these things.
