Book of Witchery: Spells, Charms & Correspondences for Every Day of the Week

I love the details on each day of the week. This books is so handy when I want to know something about a certain day. I would love to just put this book in my book of shadows! Well Done!

I'm not a witch. I'm an old Irish Catholic lady. I have sort of an academic interest in Solitary Witchery and Tarot. I'm a big Terry Pratchett fan, having been introduced to him a few years back by my son. I've read the Lancre Witch stories so many times, and decided to intersperse re-reading those books with witchery books, sort of imagining what that gang did on a day-to-day basis when not out saving their part of the world. This is all my bed-time reading after a stressful work day. I had to find the right kind of witchery books, though--the kind of witches that Granny and Nanny would approve of. I found two. Ellen Dugan and Marian Green. None of these fancy-schmancy witches.Ellen is such a nice, down-to-earth writer. Nothing weird here and no Christian bashing. She has come through being the mother of teenagers without turning any of them into frogs and you have to admire a woman like that. I would say that anyone interested in reading up on Witchcraft Without Weirdness would do well to start with her. She's also a Master Gardener, so you can learn to grow plants with her too, including plants that will help you make the neighbors nervous once you tell them what they are for. That's always good for keeping pesky neighbors at a nice distance.

I would recommend this book to any witch! Ellen always writes very informative books and she is my personal favorite author to say the least! Her writing is witty and fun too! She is very knowledgeable on the subject matter and explains everything in terms that anyone can understand and doesnt use all that "technical" jargen alot of writers use. All Witches' libraries should have this wonderful book and all the other books she has written! I cant wait for more to come from Ellen!Blessed Be!

Ellen Dugan is my Go-To How-To-Be-a-Witch Queen! I'm learning sooo much from her books, and this one is just a terrific addition to my adventure!I'm a huge mythology fan too, and I loved how she told the story of each day of the week from the ancient gods and goddesses they were named after.Now, I've also got a wonderful reference guide to quickly search for each day's magickal correspondences!P.S. I also luuuvvv Ellen's sassy 'tude!

This book of Correspondences for the witches days of the week is very well researched and tells you what colors, herbs , best type of spells and so on for every day of the week. This gives you the greatest chance for spells to work as it gives the boost of the specific energy of the day and the gods and goddesses that rule that day of the week.

She gives great ideas of thing to start on, if you are one of those who has no idea what to do first then this book is a perfect starting point. She writes in a way that I feel is considerate of those in more eclectic traditions but she sets out suggestions of things you can do for every day of the week. For any starting witch, this book is great...even teens.

This series offers the beginner a great place to start without being bogged down in big ceremonies and big ideas and long history lessons. There is a time and a place for that, but the beginner needs clear complete ideas to jump start their thinking and exploration. For those who have been a while on their path, this can provide those little ideas that can complete your own workings and your own process. good stuff!

Ellen Dugan has to be one of my favorite authors. I have a few of her books, and this one is a favorite of mine. Tons of interesting and useful information, great ideas for certain spells, just an all around great book to have.

Easy to understand, easy to follow, easy to modify and use for yourself. I love her style of writing as it is so approachable - like having a cup of tea with a friend who is happy to help you out. I have several of her books and will be purchasing more in the future.

As ever Ellen delivers everything she promises but on this occasion she packs in a whole lot more! Practical, informative and instructive, the Book of Witchery puts every day magick within everyone's reach. Absolutely loved it.

Yet another great book from Ellen Dugan.Very easy to read and under stand.If you like all things witchery then this book does it all.

Very good book.

If you want lots of information it is ok but I didn't take to the schoolteacher style of the writing. The content is good. Generally a little long winded, why use one word when 14 will do.
