The banana plant looked quite healthy as it was shipped small enough to not be affected in transit. I would recommend to anyone wanting to try growing this delicious variety of banana.

Small and struggling to grow, over 8 weeks later

Arrived last week. Was a little shocked from shipping but after some gentle care it perked up in a day. I can not stress enough to make sure to water it everyday. The leaves started to brown from lack of watering. I started watering every morning and the browning of the leaves had stopped. Within a week of the consistent daily watering the 4th leaf sprouted and in about 5 days was a full new leaf.

When I contacted this seller, I had no plans of giving a bad review. Only the way the seller approached my communication made me decide that an honest accurate review should be given. The plant I ordered and received was not mature when I received it. This was not in the product description. Instructions were attached to allow the product to root out of the pot before transplanting. I thought it was odd that they would send an unmatured plant and expect the buyer to work on having it grow to a level that it can be transplanted. I watered the plant strictly following the instructions and gradually expose it to the sun. The plant was not rooting as described in the instructions and the leaves started drying out slowly. Of course, the 30-day return window would not be enough to show that the plant is failing. Only four days after the 30-day return window was expired, I contacted the seller and wasn't really looking for a refund. I was hoping for a replacement, which in reality would not cost the seller a fraction of what I paid for the plant. The seller's response was firm that the return window has expired and listed all excuses in the blood to blame the failure of the plant on me. I ordered a lot of plants in the past and never encountered anything like this. If this seller knows what they're doing, they would know that a newly rooted plant would need more than four weeks to mature, but the 30-day window is implemented only to prevent a request for replacement or refund. Nothing in the plant description states that the plant will be sent unready to transplant. In fact, the description states "Plants are 4"-8"+ (picked randomly) and shipped in 4" pots and ready to transplant." I did not return it right away hoping that the seller has the experience to actually know that their instructions will help the buyer mature the plant. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.

I’ve uploaded here a picture from when it arrived and a picture of how it’s coming along. I replanted as soon as I unpacked it. That 3rd leaf it was growing bloomed about a week in, and the 4th leaf was sprouting by week 3. It’s going on a month in the pictured pot and I plan to leave it there for maybe another month before moving it to a plastic growing pot. I’ll leave it there maybe 2 months and then replant it into its home which will be a large wood barrel pot in the yard. I’m excited to taste these vanilla ice cream bananas!!!

I recommend this company definitely. I’d give it 5 stars if only it were a bit bigger on arrival for the $$. Packaging came with instructions and was sealed well and protected. This Banana plant has me Excited and am looking forward to our future!

Arrived promptly, grateful for the instructions/care. I just wished it was slightly larger for the price paid.
