You need to do 2-3 coats for it to look that dark but it dries reasonably quickly if you apply it thin.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the color. It's a mix between maroon and dark brown, one layer it's a maroon and two its a dark brownish black. I got it by accident in a nail salon and now I'm obsessed.

FYI it's maroon.
Just bought this thinking it was a chocolate brown. I'm sitting in the car waiting to pick up my son from school and decide to go ahead and get started. Much to my dismay it is a deep wine. Overall that's fine, and I've always loved orly's quality. But I have 18,000 bottles of maroon nail polish. I really didn't need another one.

I tried few nail polish and this one is the best. It stays almost a week with a top coat on (I used the one from Orly as well). The color is beautiful and the size generous.
