this thing is awesome. Like everyone else who owns an RV, we've had issues with black tank odors. I installed this on our motorhome and so far it works great. Install wasn't hard, but I took my time to make sure I didn't screw it up. When you cut the exhaust pipe at the roof, you want to make sure you get it right. Use a reciprocating saw if you have one. It makes the task easier. Once all the screws are in, I coated the top with Dicor Non Leveling Sealant. I plan on adding the Dicor Leveling Sealant to make the surface look smoother.

The difference in performance between this product and the standard vent cap product is marginal, IMO. In addition the construction/material of the product is not as durable as the standard vent cap product. I worry (now) more about low hanging tree limbs clipping the vent cap and damaging it; the other style cap is definitely more resistant to breakage.

Hardest part of the install is cutting out the old one from all the lap seal. This design is awesome and a venturi style vent is genius. The youtube videos explain it perfectly. I purchased two and so happy that they came in black. I will recommend these to anybody that is tired of smelling random smells in the RV. Item is very well built and should last a very long time.

Good product, but wish the top was held on by thicker bars. Hopefully they will hold up to brushing by low lying limbs in campgrounds.

REPLACED A STANDARD ROOF VENT WITH THIS ITEM.SEEMS TO BE WORKING WELL.

Cant say enough about this! Thought we had a bad tank or a leak but the top vent was missing not the drive smells 100% better and no smell

Every Rv manufacturer should install these. They have survived 3 hail storms that destroyed my roof vents. They work!! No odors inside at all.
