How is the insulated cover secured and opened to allow access to the lid of the freezer; Velcro/Zipper/Snaps?

The bag has zippers vertically down two opposing corners to allow you to get the cooler in it, and Velcro on all sides of both top flaps to hold them down. The top flaps are a 50/50 split. If you're ordering this for an IndelB cooler, it is a very close fit, but just a smudge too short, the Indel is a bit taller than the weaco, so the top flaps have to be pulled very tight and barely connect. Still works very well with my IndelB 50L
