can the shoulder strap be replaced? I have read that it is too short

The strap is stitched to one side of the bag so would not be easy to replace. It is 55cm long on full extension. I am 1m81cm and if the bag is on my shoulder then the main bag sits on my hip which is fine and comfortable.
