paint by number for adults

Bought as a Christmas gift for a couple nieces and nephews, and they loved them! Sent me pictures that same day, they had them taped to the kitchen table and they were hard at work, a month later, more pictures! This time of canvases being mounted on walls! They loved them, and their mother loved them! Easy to use! Bright colors! Can look exactly like the photo, but that's up to you.

I went a slightly different route when coloring this fella, and chose not to use the included paints, as I have a fairly shaky hand and knew I wouldn’t be successful at using that teenie tiny brush. So in turn, I used acrylic paint pens on the entire canvas, and an simply Matched the pens to the corresponding color indicated by the number on the included paint. Most def took a super Long Hot minute to paint a 16x20 canvas with paint markers versus actual paint, but it was an OUTSTANDING time consumer and a JOY to color! Turned out great IMO. Just need to staple this fella to a premade canvas now and I’m good to go! Also note, this entire kit as a whole was spot on, super inexpensive for what all u get, and just an overall great buy! This project was such a boost in confidence for my budding artist. She is 8 and she has trouble concentrating and focusing. This project captured her attention and she completed it in one sitting - first time ever. The result was lovely and she really loved it. I recommend getting the stretched one. I did not and it cost me way more to get the frame to stretch the finished work on it. Great for adults and kids.

This paint by number is great- the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it comes folded giving it creases. I tried to steam them out with no luck. I think you can see the creases from pictures I included. Otherwise this set is great. Most of the paint is thick enough to cover the numbers without more than one coat. It came with enough paint to fill in all the spaces. It comes with paint brushes (though I used my own). The spaces are clearly numbered. It might be too complex for a kid to do, but I guess that depends on the age and patience if the child. I do recommend for anybody who wants to see if paint by number is form them.

This was my first Paint by Numbers I did. It was pretty easy to do. I used the paint brushes that came with the kit. They were okay. I would recommend buying a little nicer, inexpensive set of brushes (you can find it on Amazon for $6.00+) which will make your painting experience a lot nicer than what comes with the kit. There was a crease in the canvas, but I just ironed it out. Worked liked a charm. I would also recommend purchasing "clear" gesso paint and priming your canvas before painting on it. Gives more "tooth" to your canvas that allows the paint to ahere better, and gives a much smoother painting experience. Enjoy!

Ok… very ,very cute… I read some of the reviews and was a little iffy about purchase. I am a “hobby” artist so I have some knowledge about paint and brushes… one consumer poster the brushes were awful. Well they are cheap brushes but in order to keep cost at a minimum that is to be expected. However, I did use the ones included in the kit along with my more expensive ones and yes they are cheap but I didn’t have any issues with them shedding. I did however gently tug on the bristles before I actually used them to make sure they didn’t.. but FYI even expensive bushes need that before 1st use as well. Now to the paint…. Yes it is inexpensive as well. But there again cost.. Here are my complaints… Canvass should NEVER be folded!!! I ironed and ironed and ironed!!! Used steam, used dry, used high heat even used magic sizing on the back of the canvas and still fold marks :( the manufacturer needs to work that out with packaging and place the canvas on a roll. Paint… as I said it is not expensive paint and I was prepared for that however a majority of my pigment pots were almost completely dried out. :( and I am worried I will not have enough of one of the colors to finish my touch ups. But we will see. Over all for the price it is worth the entertainment.

I purchased this for a 9-year old niece that absolutely loves it. I remember doing paint-by-number as a kid (in the 70's) when they were so popular. Happy to say they are back! Loved the design of this. This company has some fun designs not just old looking paintings. A totally new experience for children or adults in this day and age and perfect for quarantining! I have one myself but I haven't painted it yet :(
